DescriptionThe Precision Micro-Orifices® are con-structed of brass or stainless steel withorifice sizes from .0003" to .005" diameter.The orifices are used to accurately metervery low flow rates of gases or liquids.Optional stainless steel screens are avail-able to protect the tiny orifices from minutecontamination particles.

Optional ScreensMicro-Orifices® must be used with extremelyclean fluids (filtered to .03 microns). Other-wise, there is a high probability of clogging theorifice with solid particles. Even with cleanfluids, there is also the possibility of introduc-ing contaminants during assembly of the fluidsystem. To minimize the possibility of clog-ging small orifices, it is recommended thatscreens be installed on the upstream and down-stream sides of the orifice, to protect againsthandling contamination.

Fifteen micron screens are normally used withMicro-Orifices®, to minimize contaminationthat occurs during handling or assembly. Screenmaterial is stainless steel.
