FOLK

Alberto Montero

THURSDAY, JUNE 2

17:30h Adidas originals(Parc del Fòrum)

Alberto Montero made his debut in 2011 with “Cla-roscuro” and, after publishing two albums of elegant and simple folk, he just released “Arco Mediterráneo”, a more complete and complex work that raises his value as a privileged voice of the most unorthodox songwriting.

PUNK

Aliment

FRIDAY,JUNE 3

17:30h Pitchfork(Parc del Fòrum)

If their debut album, “Holy Slap”, was already a storm of smouldering punk and all-consuming garage dressed up as robust pop, their second album, “Sil-verback”, pushes it up a notch and takes that furious mixture of monolithic rock and vibrant punk with hints of the The Stooges to the next level.

ELECTRONIC

BeGun

FRIDAY,JUNE 3

21:30h Bowers & Wilkins Sound System(Parc del Fòrum)

beGun is globe trotting electronic music that travels from chill wave to bass music and from house to UK garage. Gunsal H. Moreno perfectly encapsulated it on “San Francisco”, his debut on Subterfuge, and which he took a step further on “AMMA”, where he enhances the recipe by embracing African sounds.

SURF-POP

Big Summer

FRIDAY,JUNE 3

12:30h Sala Teatre (CCCB)

Big Summer is Vasco Batista’s musical vision. He has a marked inclination towards classical pop, crys-talline melodies and deviations towards the most ethereal of surf. In 2013 the band released their first LP “Everything is going to be OK” and in 2014, the EP “Big Summer” came out. Their second album is forecast to come out in 2016.

PUNK-HARDCORE

Cadena

SUNDAY,JUNE 5

22:15h La [2] (Apolo)

The Barcelona band Cadena starts from the best of punk and hardcore tradition of the Catalan capital, the one that shook up the underground scene of the eighties, to go on to shred it up in industrial explo-sions, waves of noise and injections of aggressive and visceral rock. The band has just signed to Boston Pizza Records with the 7” “0857”.

13:00h Martini(CCCB)

Anna Fredriksson and Elena Comas are Die Katapult, a Barcelona-based Hispano-Swedish duo that sings in German and has found the perfect way to combine all their passions in what they have called European krautrock. Doble Pletina

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1

17:00h Primavera(Parc del Fòrum)

Doble Pletina have just finished mixing what will be their new album, the much awaited follow-up to “De lo concreto a lo general” with which they consoli-dated themselves as elegant and stylish pop minia-turists. Following in the footsteps of The Magnetic Fields and taking art house pop to the limits, the Barcelona band has not stopped gaining ground.

SYNTH-POP

El Último Vecino

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 1

18:00h Primavera(Parc del Fòrum)

The project led by Gerard Alegre Dòria was one of the great revelations of 2013. Now, after playing on stages of Spain, Lithuania and Mexico and proving with the maxi single “Tu casa nueva” that they are not a one-record band, they are back with a new record. It is a good moment for dark anthems while defen-ding the Joy Division-New Order sequence.

POP

Manel

SATURDAY, JUNE 4

18:55h H&M(Parc del Fòrum)

After an intense period of concerts and becoming the first Catalan singing pop band to go to the top of the Spanish charts on two occasions, Manel released in April their fourth album “Jo Competeixo” that would have been their consolidation if it was not for the fact that nobody is contesting Manel’s status as the number 1 reference of new Catalan pop.

PSYCHEDELIA

Pacosan

SUNDAY,JUNE 5

16:00h Sala Teatre (CCCB)

With their first record, the Catalans Pacosan mana-ged to open a path between electronic and psyche-delic music, influenced in equal measure by Animal Collective and by Caribou and taking the lysergic, abrasive and hypnotic properties of music to the limit. “My High” has led them to share stages with bands such as The Dodos, Glass Animals and Holy Fuck.
