Exit interviews revealed that departures were due to feeling isolated in the role. The implicit supportive nature of Jobsharing offered a way to address this challenge. Our client approached Ginibee to find a partnership with the right combination of skills for the role.

Ginibee

Ginibee is a Jobshare specialist helping people and employers to access and retain talent through Jobsharing.

Sophie Amy

Amy and Sophie were introduced by Ginibee when Amy's partner had a change in circumstances. Their effort, motivation and match was evident at interview when they were successfully appointed in the role, "their preparation really showed at interview" said their employer.

Amy and Sophie had registered their profiles with Ginibee as Jobshare seekers after the launch of our platform in January 2016.Amy originally approached this role as part of a partnership that had emerged with her previous employer. However, during the process there was a change in circumstances of the other candidate, which mean that Ginibee could suggest a suitable match. Our platform and process scored Sophie, (who had also been interviewed) highly as a potential Jobshare partner for Amy. With the information and support available through Ginibee, the partnership were able to approach the interview as a Jobshare with the right attitude. Ginibee provided resources and consultation support to both the Jobsharers and the hiring team to optimise the success of the partnership, simplifying the recruitment process for the employer.

"I received so much support, guidance and as a result have a job I'm really excited about and a very well matched partner" (Sophie)

"Sara's support has been over and above what I would have expected and has give me the confidence to make the next step in my career" (Amy)

Sophie had a diverse career history, ranging from Operations Manager, to Research Consultant to cycling across Ethopia. She enjoys new challenges and likes to feel that she is constantly developing learning and developing new skills.

This Jobshare offered Amy the opportunity to step into a role in a new environment and continue to develop her skills as part of a Jobshare partnership.

Our cloud-based Jobshare platform is also available to organisations that wish to empower their employees. if you would like to find out more, please contact [email protected]

Amy had worked in the Cambridge education sector for the majority of her career and was looking for a new challenge along with her colleague who she had workedalongside for many years. Amy was keen to develop herself and had committed to study an English Language and Literature degree as well as being there for her family.

After taking just over 9 months to focus on becoming new mum to her son, she wanted to return to a challenging role in a positive environment that would alsoenable her to have enough time to enjoy being with her son.

Sophie had never met Amy before their partnership via Ginibee. Their pairing was proposed by Ginibee in response to a last minute change in circumstances of a Jobshare candidate that was historically Amy's partner. This led to a requirement for a new Jobshare combination which was a great test for Ginibee's process..
