Supporting Growth After successfully operating in North America for a number of years, Eleganza Tiles was looking to expand the business across the rest of the US. As a result, the company’s IT Manager, Wilson Yiu, said it had become essential to implement a software package that could manage inventory, sales and purchasing by branch and provide financial reports from local level to company level.

“We have been opening more branches, and before our SAP Business One implementation we were using Quickbooks.

“Each branch had its own data file, and therefore consolidating financial data was proving costly and time consuming. Top executives were unable to obtain overall

business data on a daily basis and it was very difficult to manage inventory and stock transfers between branches,” said Wilson.

Once the need for an update was identified, SAP Business One was selected as the most suitable solution for Eleganza Tiles due to its superior functionalities and reasonable implementation cost compared to other shortlisted options, which included Prophet21, NetSuite, and Business Dynamics.

Selecting Sapphire After some internet research, Sapphire Systems was identified as a potential implementation partner, and Wilson said he was impressed by the team’s knowledge.

“Sapphire’s technical and sales teams had extensive knowledge of the SAP Business One product and were able to provide advice relevant to our operations. They were very easy to deal with and work alongside a strong support team, who are usually able to resolve any problems within 24 hours.”

“They we also very responsive and highly flexible during the six month implementation period, which I consider a very reasonable amount of time for such a project,” he said.

“The SAP Business One system has improved productivity, sales and turn-around, ensuring costs are kept under control as the company grows.”
