CASE STUDY 1: WEEK BEGINNING MARCH 5 Case Study 1: WK beginning March 5 Tutorial Tasks George David Key Focus Management functions Managerial roles Managerial competencies Case Study Presentation – 30 minutes Each Group that is presenting for the week is required to: Present a theoretical context which describes the process of management, the skills that are required and the roles that are performed by an effective manager; Raise questions from the class on theoretical concepts that would need to be applied for analysing the case; Stimulate conversation with the class if answers from the class are not forthcoming on the theoretical concepts; Stimulate conversation and pose questions to the class, the purpose being to offer additional insight into theory or case study; Prepare a 2 page summary outlining theoretical context and answers to the case questions. Theoretical context and responses to theory focus and case study focus questions should be prepared using dot points to facilitate class discussion; and Provide tutorial class members with a 2 page summary (double sided) Tutorial Class Members are: Strongly encouraged to raise questions or seek clarification from group presenters at the end of the presentation; Required to read the case study and prepare responses to the questions; and Likely to be invited at random to summarise theoretical concepts and applications to concepts for five to ten minutes.
