The Damage Sub-Tab is used to capture specific information about damage to property in a case report. Remember: Administrators can change field names! For information on setting up Case Reports and defining permissions and preferences, please view the Admin manual. Case Reports: Main Information Tab: Damage Sub-Tab To activate the Damage Sub-Tab, click the Damage check box on the Main Information screen. The Sub-Tab will then appear. When the tab is dark gray it means that the tab is not active. 1 2 3 4 Click on the Damage Sub-Tab. The screen will refresh and the tab will turn white to show that the tab is now the active tab. The “Add New Person” link allows you to collect a person’s name and add it to the list of contacts included in the report under the “Contact” tab. Click on the link and the “Add Name” window will appear. Enter the person’s name then press the “Add” button, and the name will be added to the report. To add any additional details about the person, you must click on the “Contact” tab (on the left side of the screen) and select the desired name.

The Damage Sub-Tab is used to capture specific information about damage to property in a case report.

Remember: Administrators can change field names!

permissions and preferences, please view the Admin manual.

Case Reports: Main Information Tab:Damage Sub-Tab

To view additional sections of a report, check the box that appears next to the desired section under the “Report Related Information” heading at the top of the report.

To activate the Damage Sub-Tab, click the Damage check box on the Main Information screen. The Sub-Tab will then appear. When the tab is dark gray it means that the tab is not active.

6 7The “Damage Location” field is a text field used to specify the location of the damage to property.

Describe the item that was damaged in the “What was Damaged?” text field.

The “Est Damage Amt” field is a numeric field. Enter the estimated cost value for the damage.

The “Cause of Damage” field is a text field that allows the officer to provide a description of the actions or items used to case the damage.

9 The “Person Causing Damage” field displays a drop down list of people already loaded into the report. Select the person who caused the damage by clicking on their name.

10 The “Damage done on Purpose?” field is a drop down Yes or No field where the officer can indicate whether or not the damage was done intentionally. Click to select yes or no.
