CENTRAL appointment requests with generic SCACs (such as UNKN, NSCL, OTHIT, OTHER) will be deleted

d. One appointment for each truck. Do not request multiple appointments for the same truck; delete the

appointment if you will not use it - otherwise they will be considered equal to no-shows and may generate a

chargeback. If you have goods from several vendors, fitting in one truck – request one appointment. If you have

one PO/ASN with big volume for 2 or more trucks – 2 or more appointments (for each truck – different ASN).

More details you can find in CARRIER CENTRAL Manual below.

e. Always include the Bill Of Lading (BOL) reference of your vendor’s ASN (Advanced Shipment Notification) or

ARN in the BOL column of the CARRIER CENTRAL Request. This reference is to be provided by the vendor. For

FBA shipments, include the FBA shipment number to be provided by the seller. You cannot deliver without it.

f. In order to avoid duplication of CARRIER CENTRAL appointments, Vendors and Carriers should ensure only

one of them (strongly advised it’s last mile Carrier) is requesting the bookings

g. Be sure to indicate the number of pallets, cartons, units in CARRIER CENTRAL. All CARRIER CENTRAL apps must

be for palletized goods.

2. Shipping and Transportation Preparation a. Only EPAL and CHEP pallets are accepted. When not damaged, EPAL pallets may be

returned at the time of delivery or be credited with vouchers in case the warehouse

supports the Pallet Exchange Program.

b. In case of palletized parcels cartons must be secured to pallets with extensible film (at

least 3 times per quarter of pallets) and must not protrude from the edges of the

pallets

c. The trailer floor surface must be perfectly horizontal and reinforced to allow easy and safe access to a pallet

truck. If the goods of Amazon are not accessible (because of bar blocking pallets, pallets for other customers,

one of the pallets in front is broken, manual pallet truck blocking the access), the truck will be rejected

d. Make sure pallets are loaded with the short side facing the rear of the vehicle perpendicular to the door (not

crossed) and leave empty space near the door so that the dock leveller can be lowered (at least 5cm)-see Fig.1.

e. Pallets must have a maximum height of 1.8m from the ground (incl. pallet). FCs which are accepting double

stacking deliveries are listed in FC Specifics table. To avoid freight damage when delivering double stacked

pallets; placing cardboard on top layer of the bottom pallet is recommended. Pallets staked must be stable to

avoid safety risk that will generate one rejection. Strapping the stacked pallets as a preference, to ensure safety

transportation and unloading.

3. Delivery Security Requirements:

a. Drivers must wear their own safety shoes and high visibility jackets in recommended colour yellow

b. Observe the 15km speed limit at all times in the Amazon Fulfilment Center’s premises

c. Driver must comply with security recommendations provided by the Amazon staff on the premises of Amazon

(including the yard and the parking lot)

Arrival process recommendations

d. Driver should arrive on time with a grace period of 30 minutes

e. Register at the Gate House as soon as you get to the FC. This is mandatory for the Driver to show up to the FC

entrance in any case to alert that he arrives in spite of the queue. In case he does not conduct this operation,

the truck may be considered as a No-Show and generate a chargeback could be issued to your customer.

f. In order to not be rejected at the Check In Driver must provide the ISA for all the bookings coming via CARRIER

CENTRAL, ISA is given by the CARRIER CENTRAL.

g. In case of forecasted delays by carrier (due to traffic jams etc.) it’s requester’s responsibility to ensure Amazon

is notified. In case issue is known:

a. If more than 4 hours before scheduled time: edit the appointment in CARRIER CENTRAL /or for parcel

– email NOC

Please provide a reason in the comments and request a different time/date.

b. if less than 4 hours – edit the appointment in CARRIER CENTRAL and for the Fixed Slots – notify NOC by

email;

c. If less than 2 hours – email FC directly (in FC specifics below).

h. In case the driver needs to leave due to unloading delays, please immediately modify your existing appointment

in CARRIER CENTRAL or for Fixed Slot parcel delivery email Amazon (NOC). Also, please contact FC (Gate House)

immediately.

i. In case your truck received a rejection, and you have any questions regarding the refusal, then please contact

your Amazon representative immediately, as well as NOC and the FC (from which you received the email).
