Dear Families

I am sure you join with me in congratulating Mr Zeid on his new appointment as Director of Public School Review with the Education Department. It was unfortunate that he didn’t have the opportunity to say farewell to the students, but he will definitely be returning in the coming weeks to do so. I am very much looking forward to taking on the role as Principal and will be working closely with Mr Zeid to ensure a smooth transition.

Faction Carnival 2020

This will be the first time we have come together as a whole school since restrictions were put in place due to COVID. Our Carnival will look a little different as we have needed to make some changes. We greatly appreciate your understanding as we aim to provide the students with the opportunity to participate, whilst keeping everyone safe. Please see details below outlining arrangements for the day.

Students

Gates will be open at 8.30am and children will report to their classes as per a regular school day. Children are encouraged to come dressed in their faction colours. A reminder for those wishing to colour their hair for the day, this must be done at home.

The children will remain with their Factions for the day. They are reminded to bring a morning tea snack and drink to have between the tabloid and track events. PP-Yr 3 Pasta Patterns with Signora

Year 3 students watched and learned how to make pasta using a pasta machine with Signora Vincuillo! We were impressed with how easy it was, all the different shapes that can be made and how soft the dough was. All we used was flour and water, that is how pasta used to be made a long time ago. We discussed the differences between fresh pasta and dried pasta. We all had a go at trying out a pasta shape- brava! Did you know there are over 600 types of pasta? Mammia Mia!
