Commercial DesignThese are the construction drawings for the TCU Heritage Center I designed. This class taught us how to dimension floor
plans and how to create furniture and electrical plans using AutoCAD.

Commercial Design
This project exposed me to developing a 3-D computer model from a hand-drawn floorplan.
This Heritage Center Project was great exposure to commercial design. My plan is drawn on a tilted axis and includes several multifunctional spaces such as an auditorium, a resource lounge, an art studio and an interactive kitchen.
Residential Design
This studio course focused on residential design. I was given a floorplan shell to design a condominum space for a specific client. We also learned about how to utilize Universal Design in this class.
We used AutoCAD to create a floorplan and elevation views, then created a sketchup model of the condo, which we then exported to render out in Kerkythea. I enjoyed being exposed to several different programs to see how they can all work
together.

These cut paper projects are color representaions of the shadows from the structures.
The goal of this Tea House project was to create a space that evoked movement while developing a sense of balance.

Interior Illustration
These two illustrations were part of my Heritage Center project. The top image is an interactive kitchen and the bottom is a resource center for students to study and lounge between classes.
One of my favorite classes so far has been Illustration for Interior Design. I loved being able to combine my love for studio art with design.
This floorplan was an exercise to understand space, color and light within illustrations.

These are a few of the excercises we completed throughout the semester. They demonstrate my design abilities as well as my hand rendering skills.
Restaurant Design
This project focused on restaurant design. My part-ner and I researched the demographic of the area
the restaurant is located in and we developed a floor plan, a reflected ceiling plan
and elevations using AutoCAD. We also created a rendered 3-D view of one of the spaces. Our
restaurant, Chao, is a fusion between Chinese and Japanese cuisine.

Lighting Design
The course focused on exposing lighting minors to the various lighting computer programs and the capabilities they provide. These images were created using AGi32. They are light level calculation points of part of a museum I visited and re-created
inside the computer program.
For this project, I created several lighting design documents including lighting plans, lighting control plans, lighting elevations, lighting ren-derings and a 3D AGi32 model with photometric calculations.
