KEY FABRIC SKU YD CUTTING INSTRUCTIONS

A 51219M-X Multiincludes binding 1 (4) 2½” x WOF strips for binding.

Save remaining fabric for fussy-cutting in Step 2.

B 51224M-1 Black ⅝

(3) 1½” x WOF strips. Subcut into:__(4) 1½” x 7½” rectangles,__(4) 1½” squares and__(24) 1½” x 2½” rectangles. (1) 2” x WOF strip. Subcut into:__(2) 2” x 10½” rectangles for Border 1.(2) 2” x 39½” strips for Border 1.(3) 1½” x WOF strips for Border 3.

C 51222M-2 Purple¼ or 1 FQ

(7) 1½” x 2½” rectangles for Border 2.

D 51222M-3 Teal¼ or 1 FQ

(7) 1½” x 2½” rectangles for Border 2.

E 51222M-4 Crimson¼ or 1 FQ

(7) 1½” x 2½” rectangles for Border 2.

F 51222M-6 Gold¼ or 1 FQ

(7) 1½” x 2½” rectangles for Border 2.

Backing (your choice) ¾ 18” x 50” piece of batting.

Cutting Notes: Mark and store your cutting pieces according to the block they have been assigned to, as this will make it much easier when you start piecing. Be sure to read the entire pattern before you begin.

Fussy-Cutting Instructions

1. Iron fabric carefully to remove all creases without distorting the print.

2. Fussy-cut five (5) 7½” Fabric A square blocks centered on the Medallions as shown in Diagram 1 below.

Runner Assembly

3. Sew the (5) Fussy-cut Medallion Blocks together with (4) 1½” x 7½” Fabric B rectangles. Press toward Fabric B, as shown in Diagram 2.

4. Sew a 2” x 39½” Fabric B strip to each side for Border 1. Press toward Fabric B, as shown in Diagram 3.

5. Sew a 2” x 10½” Fabric B rectangle to each end to complete Border 1. Press toward Fabric B, as shown in Diagram 3.

6. Using Diagram 4 as a color placement guide, sew together two short end sections of the “Multi-Color Border” (Border 2) using the 1½” Fabric B squares and the 1½” x 2½” rectangles from Fabrics B, C, D, E and F. Press toward Fabric B.

7. Using Diagram 5 as a color placement guide, sew together two long side sections of the “Multi-Color Border” (Border 2) using the remaining 1½” x 2½” rectangles from Fabrics B, C, D, E and F. Press toward Fabric B.

8. Sew a long section of the “Multi-Color Border” (Border 2) to each side. Press toward Fabric B Border, as shown in Diagram 6.

9. Sew a short section of the “Multi-Color Border” (Border 2) to each end to complete Border 2. Press toward Fabric B Border, as shown in Diagram 6.

10. Using bias seams, sew the (3) 1½” x WOF Fabric B strips together for Border 3.

11. From the long strip made in Step 10, sub-cut the following:

(2) 1½” x 14½” strips and

(2) 1½” x 44½” strips

12. Sew a 44½” strip to each side for Border 3. Press toward Fabric B, as shown in Diagram 7.

13. Sew a 14½” strip to each end to complete Border 3. Press toward Fabric B, as shown in Diagram 7.

Finishing

14. With the backing fabric laying taut, place batting and then quilt top to form quilt sandwich.

15. Baste sandwich. Quilt as desired.

16. Using bias seams, sew the four 2½” x WOF Fabric A strips together to make the binding. Attach the binding using your preferred method to finish quilt project.
