Bornanew Youth Caring Association

Bornanew Youth Caring Association is a NGO taking care of teenagers who are in juvenile detention house and children who are with high risk to criminal conducts in Taiwan. They offer off-school care, academic assistance, consoling, group therapy and hold activities to improve parent-child relationship.

Juvenile Delinquency

With rapid growth and changes of the social environment, problems concerned with Taiwanese teenagers are more various and more serious in recent years. Many teenagers are facing dysfunction of their family and school which make them encounter more harm and failures in their childhood and teenage hood. Combining with their lacks of ability of adjustment, they are prone to commit crimes.

•  Working in Juvenile Detention House every Friday. Design and deliver sessions to help teenagers in juvenile detention house learn more about things they can’t learn from school to widen their horizon.

•  Accompany children with higher risk to criminal conducts in Taiwan on Monday to Friday night.

Create activities according to the topics every week, such as art, performance to inspire their interest in learning.

•  Hold a half-day activity in NTU. Let students discuss and think deeply of juvenile delinquency in order to raise students’ awareness of social issues.

•  Film documentaries. •  Hold charity bazaars to help NGO raise funds.

•  Launch a two-day summer camp. Let children with higher risk to criminal conducts in Taiwan learn by playing.

•  Flexible The working schedule is not fixed, since it depends on how fast you finish your weekly works.
