Career Paths is an event designed to bring together a panel of professionals who all have a similar educational background. Students are invited to hear and ask about each panelists’ education and how he/she used their particular degree in their career.

The first Career Paths focused on Arts & Sciences degrees. All panelists hold degrees in the Arts and Sciences but have chosen a variety of career paths within or outside of their disciplines.

Spring’s Career Paths featured those with an Engineering background. Engineering professionals discussed how they used their education to get to where they are professionally.

Employers choose to conduct their interviews on campus in the Career Services Office to recruit the best and the brightest FIU students and alumni.

Students and alumni love the convenience of interviews on one of FIU’s campuses.

On Campus Recruiting

Employers interviewed 256 students at all three Career Services Office locations.

From January through March, 2010, 638 students attended information sessions on both campuses and the Engineering Center.

“I just wanted to drop you a quick line thanking FIU Career Services. About two months ago I hired one of your students and have been very pleased with his work. Sharp as a tack and he has really helped me out on several larger projects. A genuine asset to our company.

Thanks again,”
