IPL group are currently recruiting for an office-based Technical Support & Sales person for our Process Instrumentation Division in our head office in Drogheda. The main responsibilities and duties of this role are:

• Offer technical support to our dedicated external sales team

• Provide technical after sales support to customers over the telephone

• Provide recommendations to customers in the area of Instrumentation Engineering such as Flow, Level, Pressure, Temperature and Water analytics products

• Liaise with service personnel and organise paperwork and products for site visits

• Research and stay up-to-date with new products and innovations in the marketplace

• Prepare and issue technical quotations based on customers’ technical requirements

• Receive and process sales orders for products, liaising with warehouse supervisor and on-site engineers around stock availability for ordered items

• Assist marketing department to prepare technical literature for customers where needed

• Cultivate relationships with existing customers and suppliers to promote business and sales

• Interact with customers, primarily on the phone, providing technical information about products and responding to enquiries about products, services and customer accounts

The ideal candidate will:

• have studied or have experience with process instrumentation and electronics

• have a technical or engineering qualification

• have a good level of computer literacy

• have excellent verbal and written English

• possess excellent teamwork and communication skills This is an exciting opportunity. The successful candidate will receive full training and should be prepared to travel overseas for training with some of the equipment manufacturers.
