Company profile and BackgroundOur Human Resource Project Planning is on a pharmaceutical company named Care Pharmaceuticals. Our company will be focused on three different basic parts which are vaccines, medicines and consumer healthcare products.
Our company will be concerned on the research and development of the products in order to improve people’s health and well-being, and that is exactly how it will be more instrumental for the betterment of our communities.
Our mission is to provide compassionate care, advanced Medicine, and a good life. The business will be based on the delivery of three major strategic concerns which intends to increase the growth, minimize the risk and improve our long-term financial performances.
Since Care Pharmaceuticals Company is a research based company, they revolve around the matter of how to improve the quality of human life. We will work closely in the communities we will operate in-locally, nationally or globally, which will be our philosophy that we will follow. In order to make a positive contribution, we will work and support the communities as we will be closely linked with the communities.

History Of The Industry
• After several years of liberation, the government could not increase (in relative terms) budgetary allocations for the improvement of health sector.
• Sector started to improve from 1980s. • The pharmaceutical industry has grown in the last two
decades at a considerable rate• Right after liberation war three fourth of the
pharmaceutical industries was dominated by multinational companies.
• The National Drug Policy (NDP) in 1982 and 2005 has major impact in the development and growth of the Bangladesh pharmaceutical industry.
Industrial Background▧ The pharmaceutical industry in Bangladesh is one of the most
developed hi-tech sectors within the country's economy. ▧ There are about 300 licensed allopathic drug-manufacturing
units in the country▧ The industry manufactured about 5,600 brands of medicines in
different dosage forms.▧ 1,495 wholesale drug license holders and about 37,700 retail
drug license holders in Bangladesh. ▧ This sector is providing 97% of the total medicine requirement
of the local market.▧ The industry is exporting medicines to global markets,
including the European market.▧ Some of the companies produce insulin, hormones, and
anticancer drugs, which were not previously produced in Bangladesh.

Work Hour PolicyRequired to work for a minimum of
40 hours per week; that is 8 hours per day.
Normal working hours are from Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. with a one hour lunch break from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Will vary depending on the nature of work.
Be punctual on every official working day.
May be required to work on official holidays. Will be compensated accordingly.
No over-time will be paid for staffs working beyond regular working hours.
Attendance Policy▧Required to maintain a
satisfactory record of attendance ▧Meet the prerequisites for
reporting nonappearances, make rules for lateness, early takeoffs, and unscheduled absences.
▧Outline employees' need to adhere to established work schedules to maintain efficient and effective working schedule.
▧Be strict enough to discipline those employees whose absences cause problems
▧Flexible enough so that company does not have to let-go of good employees who are rarely absent.
Promotion PolicySeniority, Experience, Performance
and Academic Qualifications are considered as the basis for promotion, handled fairness and providing equal opportunities
Identify and groom potential successors to fill the probable vacancy through internal job mobility
Enhance their employability as well as equip them to shoulder higher responsibilities.
Performance of employee is reviewed every 6 months and their worth and promotion in the company depends on that.
Leave Policy:▧Casual Leave: 10 days leave to all their permanent/regular employees
with full pay. Cannot be taken more than 3 days at a time and maximum 4 days in a month.
▧ Earned Leave: Also known as Privilege Leave, can be earned by working continuously without any kind of leave or holiday for 1 whole year. Will earn 1 day leave for every 18 days work, 20 days being the maximum limit in a year.
▧Sick Leave: Leave of 10 days maximum in a year with full pay as sick leave by providing proper medical certificates/documents by a registered Medical practitioner to supervisor. cannot be taken for more than 2 days straight, unless supported by the aforementioned medical documents.
▧Maternity Leave: Full paid leave entitled to female employee who is going to give birth, divided into ‘Pre-Maternity Leave’ & ‘Post- Maternity Leave’, each consisting of 90 days (3 months) equally, unless otherwise depending on the health and medical condition of the employee.
▧Festival leave: With full payment 11 days government leave. ▧Compensatory Leave: For employees who worked on a holiday.
Requires appropriate justification and acknowledgement of HR Department.
▧Special Leave: Offered to employees for 7 days (maximum) in a year with full payment, who worked without taking any sick leave in the previous year.
▧ Leave without Pay (LWOP): Unpaid leave taken in emergency situations, especially when all other leaves are consumed. Leave granted as loss of pay.
Transfer Policy:▧Employee working for more than six
months of service is eligible of being transferred to vacancy in a different position/department.
▧Basis of the transfer should be clearly mentioned, whether it will be based on seniority or on the skill and the competency or any other factors.
▧The position/department of the organization within which transfers will be made should be mentioned.
▧Whether the transfer is temporary or permanent should be defined.
▧Whether retraining is required on the new job should be prescribed.
▧Termination Policy :
▧This policy covers all the three types of termination-
▧ Voluntary, Involuntary Death.
Retirement Policy
This policy applies to all the regular/permanent employees who have reached the normal age of retirement, which is 65 years
They shall elect to retire on attaining superannuation on the last working day of the month in which he/she completes the age of 65 years.
Salary and Administrative Policy
Such a policy shall provide guidance on an employee’s salary during recruitment, performance based increases, and other salary adjustments when needed.
Such a policy will also recognize that all salaries are subject to budgetary authorization and funding limitations
Training and Development Policy
Each manager of Care Pharmaceuticals Ltd. will take up the duty to act as a mentor for his/her employees ‘and a formal assessment will take place on a standard basis, preferably twice once a year
Care Pharmaceuticals Ltd.’s goal is to retain and motivate the employees and so they devise a training and development policy in order to ensure continuous growth of the organization
Performance Appraisal Policy According to the policy, a formal performance appraisal will be
conducted annually for all staff in the organization
The line managers shall appraise each of their staff members. Directors of the company will be appraised by the CEO, who in turn shall be appraised by the chairman/owner of the company

Job Description:▧ Prepare a corporate plan and annual business plan
and monitor progress against these plans to ensure that the Company attains its objectives as cost-effectively and efficiently as possible.
▧ Establish and maintain effective formal and informal links with major customers, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities, key decision-makers and other stakeholders generally, to exchange information and views and to ensure that the Company is providing the appropriate range and quality of services.
▧ Prepare, gain acceptance, and monitor the implementation of the annual budget to ensure that budget targets are met, that revenue flows are maximized and that fixed costs are minimized.
