Dear Colleague

Following our success from the 2009 Regional Meeting series, the Arrhythmia Alliance is proud to be hosting  a series of cardiac update courses in 2010 across the UK. This important educational programme has been developed collaboratively by the Arrhythmia Alliance and Atrial Fibrillation Association, with input from senior cardiologists.

We aim to continue our efforts from 2009 to increase awareness to healthcare professionals across the UK on the management of cardiac arrhythmias.

Each course will provide a forum for primary and secondary healthcare professionals interested in improving local delivery of stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation, to review latest policy and clinical developments, as well as an opportunity to assess local services and how these may be enhanced.

These meetings are aimed at all those involved in the care of, or providing

a service to, patients with cardiac arrhythmias in general, as well as those specifically involved in stroke prevention in atrial fibrillation and anticoagulation.

Each course will also focus on bringing national services to a local level, the latest ESC guidelines for syncope, anticoagulation issues and addressing the question of coordination of patient care and management. We also eagerly await the publication of the NICE Guidelines for TLOC this August.

This is an open invitation to all specialities and levels, and we would therefore be grateful if you would forward the course details to colleagues. The registration fee per delegate is £13.50 which includes refreshments and a light lunch.

We do hope you are able to join us for what will be a stimulating course and of real benefit to your working practice.

Kind regards
