PROTIME DESKTOP CARD READER INSTRUCTIONS The badges you will issue need to be correctly set up as they are currently on the wrong settings. Badge Settings Right click on the BADGE ICON in your lower right hand desktop bar. Select BADGE READ FORMAT. Ensure your BADGE READ format is set to DECIMAL 10 DIGITS. This ensures all cards are read as the same type with the same number of digits. It is currently set at HEX, which is incorrect! HEX reads the badges with LETTERS and NUMBERS. We want just NUMBERS. If your badge is showing as just numbers but there are only 9 or 8 digits long, this means there are invisible ZEROS at the beginning. Input as many 0 (zeros) as necessary before the numbers to ensure its 10 DIGITS LONG.

Issuing Badges.

In PROTIME; double click EMPLOYEE NAME in EMPLOYEES tab.

In the TERMINALS tab; ensure your cursor is in the BADGE NUMBER field.

Read the card on the box and hold it there until the number appears in the BADGE NUMBER field and the text becomes underlined, bold and italic.
