Air vented from pumping stations will in most cases require odor treatment. In most cases, a two b ed (duty/standby) s ystem using c arbon regenerated using caustic soda or potash will be preferred. 13.4.12 STRUCTURAL DESIGN 1. The design of concrete structur e shall be in accordance with BS8110- 1”structural use of concrete” 2. All structures shall be designed for a minimum service life of 60 years. 13.4.13 SITE BOUNDARY FENCE & GATE 1. The boundary fence shall provide adequate security to prevent or at least discourage unauth orised access to t he site. 2. The fence shall be installed in accordance to approved drawing. 3. The access gate shall be located and sized to avoid obstruction from the public. 13.4.14 SITE FACIL ITIES 1. Stand-by generator plinth, water connection etc. shall be provided at lift stations. 2. Site layouts shall provide adequate space for access by operation and maintenance vehicles with suitable paved turning radius to allow vehicles to turn. END OF PART
