HR 500 GT HPC Reamers
for superior performance for sizes above Ø 40,0
For sizes above 40,0 mm Guhring HR 500 Technology shows superior performance in reaming
applications. A variety of solutions guarantee the highest cutting parameters and hole quality.
Variety for perfect results
HR 500 GT reamer heads are available in a semi-standard product range offering quick
delivery times within diameter range >40,1 – 76,2 mm. HR 500 GT are available in the following
configurations:
Carbide-tipped with nano-A coating for stainless steels, GGG60, GG, special alloys and non-
ferrous material
Carbide-tipped with nano-Si coating for GG/GGG when high-class surface finish is required
Carbide-tipped with Carbo coating for aluminum machining
Cermet-tipped for steels and GGG40/50
Optimized Cooling
Thanks to the newly developed coolant distribution screw (patent pending) at the face of the reamer
all cutting edges are lubricated optimally. Blockage of the coolant exits is not possible. Due to
the flat-head coolant screw construction, blind holes can be machined to the bottom of the hole.
Additionally, the coolant distribution screw can be remove if required for blind hole machining.

Guhring – Innovative machining
As one of the pioneers of MQL technology we have an extensive knowledge of minimal quantity lubrication.
Higher cutting speeds and longer tool life are possible thanks to adapted cooling as well as highest surface qualities thanks
to the pure lubricant. Workpieces and chips remain dry! Save the cost of de-greasing your workpieces as well as disposal
of swarf and soluble oil.
