STRENGTH OF SIPRD

• Experienced , Skilled , communicative and very sound subject specific faculties.• Large Infrastructure• Very equipped supporting staffs• Technical know-hows & Expertise.• Strong Networking with the field.• Very strong networking & good name with other states • Regular communication with the field level practitioners , activists , NGOs• Very active Cells. • Fellow-feeling and Fraternity.

WEAKNESSES• Lack of Manpower • Lack of Money • Low scope of exchanging views with other institutions• Low scope of experiencing alternative training strategy or latest training methodologies • Low scope of faculty upgradation • No formal Resource-pool is there.• Less mobility support • Less liberty , less autonomy

DEMAND SIDE GAPSNo training coverage of ZP & PS members. No training coverage of EWRs.

No timely training coverage towards Officials of PRIs.

No training intervention towards opposition leaders . No Follow-up session has been done

Targets of SIPRD

Supply Side Gaps • Lack of Continuous Support towards PRI

functionaries due to lack of manpower• Lack of necessary skill development

( photography ,doccumentation etc.)• SIPRD can’t play the role of Knowledge-

Hubs properly due to lack of support-staffs • It has not used TDCC properly due to man-

power.• TIS can’t be undertaken due to lack of

manpower.

Supply Side Gaps

• Each cell is very effective but can’t perform optimally as no support staff is attached with each cell.

• Field visit can’t be done due to lack of mobility support.

• Ready training material can’t be supplied due to lack of Printing unit and man power within the institute.

• A continuous monitoring can’t be done due to manpower.

Supply Side Gaps

• Training material as per need of the field can’t be supplied due to lack of manpower & lack of technical infrastructure as well as money

• Regular monitoring of training or other problem regressal intervention can’t be done due to same reason.

Requirements

• Renovation & Upgradation of Class-room.

• Training Aids --- Projector Machine (Hanging & Compact ),computers ( desktops & laptops ) , lease-line connectivity for internet users ,Large size wall-monitor ,

• Doccumentation Laboratory

• A total Printing Unit

• Upgradation of TDCC unit for communication with Zilla Parishad Panchayat Samitis and Gram Panchayats

REQUIREMENTS

• Upgradation of Cells with manpower ---- dedicated contractual support staffs , machineries etc.

• Mobility Support --- two dedicated mobile van for field visit & doccumentation.

• An autonomy like NIRD to serve effectively & optimally as per need .

• Upgradation of Faculty through ----- Faculty Exchange programmeVisit to Best practicesCommon Issue-based Exchange Programme
