Brief History

Mackay Plant Wholesalers was established as a partnership in March 2009, on the site previously occu-

pied by Mackay Tree Farm Pty Ltd. The benefit of the partnership was to build the business’s capacity and

knowledge base, allowing the company to focus on the core competencies of supplying large scale land-

scaping services and building the wholesale nursery stock varie4es.

Mackay Plant Wholesalers is a locally owned full service landscaping business servicing the Central Qld

district. This service area encompasses Bowen, Emerald and Waverly Creek as its borders.

Mackay Plant Wholesalers is built on a commitment to a a100% customer sa4sfac4on in every aspect of

our work. This commitment is accomplished through our full service landscape company providing quality

work, integrity and on 4me service.

Our process begins with our landscape project management and landscape construc4on installa4on

crews assuring that all of our clients construc4on needs are met with me4culous aKen4on to detail. The

process is competed with our landscape maintenance division which will establish and maintain your

landscape and ensure your projects beauty and longevity.

Project Manager/ Owner

Peter owned and operated Mackay Tree Farm Pty Ltd for 16 years prior to entering into the partnership with Clin-

ton Smith to create Mackay Plant Wholesalers. The partnership has brought addi4onal funds that have enabled the

expansion of the business and its opera4onal capacity. Peter has prac4cal experience in landscaping for small plant

stock to ex-ground stock. He is experienced in the design and installa4on of irriga4on systems to Mackay Regional

Council specifica4ons. Peter is an experienced Project Manager having managed all projects from 2009 to current

for the partnership. He is also adept at the installa4on of street furniture and has an in-depth knowledge of council

requirements for street trees and landscaping.

Site Supervisor

Shannon has worked extensively in the landscaping field in Canada and has recently returned to Mackay to con4n-

ue working in this field. He has competently supervised staff on various projects, ensuring these are completed

within set 4meframes and to a high standard. Shannon also has prac4cal experience working with hardscapes; such

as rendering, paving, fencing and construc4on of retaining walls. He is an experienced machinery operator and is

always conscious of safety. He has managed landscaping projects and has par4cipated in reforesta4on projects in

Canada.

Trainee Manager

Drew has been employed with Mackay Plant Wholesalers since 2010 in various capaci4es. Drew has

aKained his digger and bobcat 4ckets and is familiar with all aspects of landscape project management.

He has proven himself to be an invaluable part of the team and manages the onsite staff and opera4ons.

Office Manager

Having worked in the accoun4ng, administra4on and management fields for 20 years, Toni is a welcome

addi4on to our team. Toni has worked within the private and public sectors and on a number of project

teams, including change management teams with DelloiKe business analysts. She liaises with Peter and

Shannon to complete our quotes, ordering and invoicing to ensure all materials are on site when needed.

Toni is responsible for seLng up our office systems and processes, and to ensure the smooth opera4on of
