Beloved Community Center is seeking 35 field & phone
canvassers (part time) whocan assist with our non-partisan
Get-Out-the-Vote campaign. We want people whoare articulate,
teachable and self-disciplined. You must have a passion for
social,racial, and economic justice.
The Beloved Community Center will focus on two hot-button
issues; the need for aPolice Citizens Review Board with subpoena
power, and economic development inSoutheast Greensboro.
We have immediate openings that can begin as early as September
14th. This is aVOLUNTEER, UNPAID position that will last
approximately 8 weeks. Paidopportunities with the Beloved Community
Center may become available in thefuture.
Job Duties include door-to-door canvassing, administering a
telephone survey, voter
education, community building/organizing and research assistance
and datacollection. Canvassers will receive training and will be
provided with a script thathighlights essential points to make
during door-to-door interactions.
Canvassers are asked to commit to work at least three of the
available shifts, butmay work as many as possible. Shifts last four
(4) hours and occur on SATURDAYS(10:00am-2:00pm).

have volunteered with Beloved Community in the past.
This is a short-term project that is expected to end by November
9th. This project isgreat for college students or high school
seniors needing Service Learning hours orvolunteer course
credit.
Mandatory Job Qualifications
Canvassers- No Experience Required. Come with eagerness and a
willingness tolearn. Canvassers must also have reliable
transportation and be willing to attendany mandatory training.
