Canterbury Chess Club 2017-2018 Middle School Registration The Canterbury Chess Club is about to begin its 24th year! Canterbury is fortunate to have Jim Dean, four-time Indiana State Champion, returning as our coach. SAVE THE DATE! The club will once again be hosting the Indiana State Grade Championships on Saturday, November 10, 2018, at the High School. This year, the Middle School Chess Club will feature 2 semesters. The first semester will run from September 5, 2018 through December 19, 2018. The second semester will run from January 9, 2018 to May 1, 2018. The Middle School Chess Club will meet from 3:20 to 4:30 p.m. in room 208 starting on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Middle School chess players are offered the option each week of attending LS Thursday night Advanced Chess if they cannot attend the Wednesday session, from 3:15 to 5:00 pm in the LS Art room, for improved scheduling flexibility.
