In 2009, our team of candle makers began creating products that embodied beautiful design, extraordinary craftsmanship, and imbued branded lifestyles. Milestones were had, and large goals (that were always doubted by others) were set in place and inevitably reached. Proud of the products and brands that were strong, pronounced, and reputable, the team wanted a place where our candles and candle-making process could be highlighted. A place we could be amongst other candle-makers, masters of their craft, getting the recognition they deserved, and a place where aspiring crafters could aim to share their creations.
Candlefish was born. It is a place for scent exploration, finding inspiration, and learning the art of candle-making. Our team of expert Chandlers curate unique candles, candle accessories, and other standout products, aiming to showcase the journey and accomplishments of the makers and their intentionally wonderful goods. The ShopThe first Candlefish location is open at 71 Wentworth Street in downtown Charleston, S. Carolina. Showcasing over 30 brands of candles, hand-picked accessories, on-site candle-making, and scent exploration through The Library at Candlefish, there is always something new to discover and experience. The store is open Monday-Tuesday from 10am-6pm, Wednesday-Saturday from 10am-8pm, and Sunday from 12noon-8pm. Candle-Making ClassesLead by our expert chandlers, Candlefish offers candle-making classes in the on-site workshop. Classes range from molded candles, like votives and pillars, to dipping tapers and scented candles. Candlefish will provide all materials, equipment, and aprons for the candle-making journey, but are BYOB. Held on Wednesday-Sunday at 2pm and 6pm, classes range in price from $35-45.
