What is Plickers?

Plickers is a powerfully simple tool that lets teachers collect real-time formative assessment data without the need for student devices.

Signing up

1. Go to www.plickers.com to sign up for FREE.

Name, Email, Password. Done!

2. Download APP to your Smartphone or Tablet FREE

(When searching on iPad click iPhone App only to download)

Plickers Cards

*Cards have a small, A,B,C,D printed on them the way a students holds their card gives there answer. The cards are all different so students can not tell what answer their classmates are giving.*

Getting Started

After signing up at www.plickers.com

1. Choose the tab labeled classes at the top of the page and type in your class roster. It will assign all your students to an individual plicker number. You can add additional classes and students later as well.

2. Choose the tab on the website labeled cards to print out the students plickers. Print on cardstock for durability. In my class I stapled the cards to the inside backing of their interactive notebooks. Laminating makes it cards harder to scan.

3. (Optional) Select the live view tab on the website to display the question and answer choices for students on Smartboard. Beside the question will appear a full screen tab and another small button with an arrow that allows you to hide the response panel.

4. When students are holding up their Plickers to answer a question, go to the App on your device, select the question and scan the room by selecting the camera button which will appear at the bottom of the screen.

Scanning Data

As you scan the cards you will see the name of the child and their individual response for each question selected located at the top of your screen on the smart device when their response has been scanned. Also, a bar graph will appear so you can view the whole group data as well. The number of participates scanned is also provided to make certain that all students have responded.

Saved data

All data can be accessed online. The breakdown is by question. On each question you see the bar graph of the class. You can click on the individual bars on the graph to see what students picked which answer for remediation.
