Mission
The mission of CPCRN is to accelerate the adoption of evidence- based cancer prevention and control in communities, which we are doing through increased understanding of the dissemination and implementation process.
VisionThe Network is engaged in research and practice activities that span the translation continuum from discovery to the dissemination and adoption of effective interventions. Our research activities will inform evidence reviews, especially the cancer-related sections of the Guide to Community Preventive Services. However, we will go beyond advancing the science of cancer prevention and control; we will also influence public health and primary care practice. In particular, we will be actively engaged in enhancing large-scale efforts to reach underserved populations and reduce their burden of cancer.
OrganizationOne of five Thematic Research Networks in the Prevention Research Centers (PRCs)
Only Thematic Network focused on dissemination and translation
Collaboration with two Federal Agencies CDC – Division of Cancer Prevention and Control NCI – Division of Cancer Control and Population
