Budget• Running a deficit budget in 2008-09, 2009-10 and 2010-11• Acreages are essentially flat• Membership numbers continue to drop• Expenses increase even if only for inflation• Return on surplus fund investments is low• Pension plan service costs are increasing (low investment returns)

1. conduct as many as possible Committee and Executive Committee meetings by conference call

2. Maintain Board size but deal with governance & policy – don’t repeat the work done by Committees

4. Have more control over Annual Meeting organization & provide more time for discussion of current issues

5. Seek government funding when applicable or available

7. Co-operate with other organizations and companies in advocacy work (political & end-user)

8. Invite Branch Directors & funds to E&P Committee & activities
