CRICKETLike most Indians, Nadella is a big fan of cricket. Infact, he was a part of his school’s cricket team. In aninterview, he said that playing cricket taught himabout team work and leadership. His favourite form ofthe game is Test cricket and he likens it to a Russiannovel, because there are so many sub-plots in it.
LOVES POETRYNadella enjoys poetry. He said, “It’s like a code.
You are trying to take something that can bedescribed in many, many sentences and pages ofprose, but you can convert it into a couple linesof poetry and you still get the essence, so it’sthat compression.”
Nadella was inspired by a book he had read – ‘Mindset :TheNew Psychology of Success’ by Carol Dweck, a few yearsprior to becoming the CEO. “The simple concept in thatbook was it’s better to be a learn-it-all even if the know-it-all has more innate capability, because the learn-it-all ulti-mately will do better.
