Mr. Know-it-all Good question of the Biblical drunkards. Can Angels protect us?

Are angels protectors? "NO protector besides Allah" [2:107, 29:22]. But in Sura 41:31 the

angels themselves say: "We are your protectors in this life and the Hereafter." And also inother Surah is their role described as guarding [13:11, 50:17-18] and protecting [82:10].

Mr. Know-it-all attempts to drive an axe between the will of God and the will of his agents, the angels. In these two places he does not allow the angels to simply be the tools of God'swill, rather, they are forced to be independent of God in their actions so that he can generatea "contradiction." However, at the end of this list he switches tracks making a complete 180degree about face. In that one he needs to accept this basic fact in order to attempt togenerate a third "contradiction."

As seen in the above question of "who is responsible for death," God is ultimately

responsible for all decrees, however, He sometimes performs His decrees directly through adirect command, such as to create something simply by commanding it to "BE!." At othertimes He uses his creation as tools to carry out His decrees, such as using the angels toguard those whom He chooses.

This can be seen for example in Al-Anaam (6):61 where we are told that God protectsmankind by sending "hafadhah," (or "protecting angels"). They can not undertake any actionexcept through His will and command. This is similar to saying that the head of the secretservice has sent five "agents" to protect the president. The head of the secret service mightsay "I am responsible for protecting the president." The agent's too will say "we areresponsible for protecting the president."

Yes, the agents are responsible for protecting the president; however, this is only truebecause the head of the secret service assigned this job to them. If he wished he could finda different way to protect the president, such as with an armored car, or even assign differentagents to him. Qur'an says the following regarding the will and actions of the angels: "And we(angels) descend not except by the command of your Lord. To Him belongs what is beforeus and what is behind us and [all] that is in-between that. And your Lord is never forgetful."Mariam(19):64.

O my Learned Christian readers and Mr. Know-it-all, do you really want to turn your faceaway from the truth? Would you take man-made lies instead of truth of Islam in your lives?do you have any sense of reason? Do they have any thinking-heads? Does God stop youfrom thinking reasonably? Or would you like to regret in the hereafter.

They will say, "If only we had really listened and used our intellect, we would not have beenCompanions of the Blaze." (Noble Quran, Surat al-Mulk: 10) or would the followers of St.Paul like to regret!

O Mr. Know-it-all!Respond to your Lord before a Day comes from Allah [],which cannot be turned back. On that Day you will have no hiding-place and no means ofdenial. (Noble Quran, Surat ash-Shura: 47)

I invite you, O my Christian readers, to use your intellect and be a true believer, a truthfulsubmitter to your God Allah ]. May Allah] [] bestow upon you his mercy

. I will be happy to clarify any doubts from my Christian friends in particular and all others in general. Fareed Siddique
