Molecular Biotechnology
Modern molecular biotechnological and geneticengineering procedures are nowadays of highrelevance to many realms of research and industrialprocesses such as biological and medical research, recombinant production of drugs, desired metabolitesand optimized technical enzymes, the establishmentof cellular detection systems, strategies ofenvironmental management as well as foodproduction. Its importance will definitely evenincrease in the future. This three-semester English study program wasdeveloped to enable national and internationalstudents with backgrounds in biotechnology, pharmaceutical engineering, biomedical engineering, biology, food technology and related fields of study todeepen their knowledge in this field. This appliedprogram includes subjects like advanced geneticengineering and cell culture, OMICS technologies, next generation sequencing, databases andbioinformatics, recombinant protein production andmuch more. Successful graduates will have bestchances to reach high positions in correspondingcompanies and research institutes.
SKILLS ACQUIRED
This master program aims at the transfer ofcomprehensive knowledge and skills in modernmolecular biotechnology and genetic engineeringtechniques. Successful graduates will be able to workat high positions in institutes and companies doingresearch and production in different fields requiringthe use of molecular biological methods such asmedicine, pharmacy, environmental management, etc.
