The Use of The of The Militia - Mr Daniel McGonigle

For what emergencies and purposes shall "the Miltia be caled

fort accorng to te supreme Law? Wo shal al foth the

lta n an emergeny, aordng to Constttona Laws?

21't century America is at a crossroads; just as she was

n the middle to late 18h century. There is no room for

cynca or defeatist atttudes amongst the Peope A

moral-constitutional revval and restoration are

necessary An official grassroots movement from the

bottomup must be nurtured, developed and

organized to officaly reasset the rghts, duties, and

powers of We the People", and then to pursue

avalable politcal, constitutiona emedy, that restores

to operaton these establised rights, duties, and

powers

The emergency enforcement of the Constitution and

constituonal Laws, and stoppng enforcement of

unconstiutonal aleged Laws, are enumeraed

powers of We the People" to be executed through

the consttuton a I well regulated StateCountyLocal

Miia, when the everyday government officias

cannot or wll not properly execute the Laws

Followng the historica precedents of Samuel Adams

and Boston Town Meeting in 1772, it is strongly

advocated that people pursue formation of oficia

ocal committees of correspondence, in order to

officaly reasset, pubsh and communicate the

established rights, duties, and powes of We the

Peope", the supeseding constitutioal authority and

o nstrct government offcials o restore

constitutonal operations

Calg fort te Milta into the sevice of the Ute States

The President s: Commander in Chief of the Mtia

of the several States, wen called nto the actual

Servce of the United States", per the U.S Consttution

Aticle II Section 2 Cause 1.The federal Milta Act of 2 May 1792 states Section

1 That wenever the Unted States shall be invaded, it

shall be lawfu for the Pesident of the United Sates,

to cal foth such number of the militia of the state or

states to repe suc nvasion and, case of an

insurrection, t shall be awful for the President, on

applicaion of he egislaure of such sae, or of he

executive, to suppress such insurrecion *** Secon

2 That whenever the laws of the United States shall

be opposed or the execution thereof obstructed, inany state, by combinations too powerful to be

suppressed by the ordinary course of udicial

proceedings, or by the powers vested in the marshas,

t shall be lawful for the President of the Unted States

to cal foth the militia of such state to suppress such

combinations, and to cause the aws to be duly

executed"

The purposes for caling forth the Mtia per this

federal Law, ae derived from the powers enumeated

in Aticle I Section 8 Clause 15 of the US Constitution

To provide for calling orth the Militia to execute theLaws of the Union, suppress nsurrections and repel

nvasions"

Remember fom the Hierarchy of Authority that the

Laws are subordinate to the Consitution, and

remembe from US Consttution Aticle V Clause 2

that aws shall be made in Pursuance of this

Constitution"

Cang foth the Mita nto the seve of a State

Upon obstruction of execution of the Laws, upon

nsurrection, upon nvasion, or upon other emergency,

the State, to call forth the Militia of the County or

severa Counties, to cause the Laws to be duly

executed, to suppress nsurrection, to repe Invason,

Callng foth the lta into the sevice of a Coty

Upon obstruction of executon of the Laws, upon

Yesterday, through he inspiration of Mr Kais, and he vision of Sam Leveee, he junor campers creaed a

masterpece in chak at' an Amercan Flag in front of the main buiding at Toah Nipi

I asked Mr. Kais what nspired him to organize his event "I thought it woud be a great activity that thecampers could do together, it woud encourage

patriotc feengs/ Mr. Kais said he had been

thinking about doing this kind of activity for two

or three years, and was excited that he was abe

to pu it together this year

The chak at drawing project was not without

pannng and compicatons Mr Kais

purchased about $25 woh of sidewak chak

After openng the chak packages, they

discovered there was no white chalk! How do

you make a red whte, and bue fag withoutany white chak? With the hep of Mr

Hodgeson director camp Toah Nipi, the probem was soved No white chalk? No probem! We wi use four

nstead A truly dvine soution Everyone who paticipated in the creaion of the fag agreed that the four

worked out even better han the chak One bystander procaimed, "the four s better than the chak It makes

the other coors just pop Just another iustration, I hink, that no matter what pans we have made, we

cannot preven the unseen obstaces I am just eternally grateful that we have a oving God that sees every

probem and knows every soluton He s faithfu to provde

Sam aso felt this project was a rewarding chalenge When Mr Kais came to Sam wth the idea of a waving

flag Sam googed images, drew the images on paper, and then fnay transferred his sketches to the sidewak

wth chak Sam to me that athough he has done graphc art proects, he had never done a drawing five

times hs own size I asked Sam what was his favorite pat of the entire project; Sam repied, "I was so happy tosee the junior campers so interested and nvoved in what we were doing They were not ony cooring in the

picture, bt taking an active pat in the project by giving their own input It was so great to see the finshed

prject/ Wth a big smie on hs face, Sam told me he cant wait unt next years sidewak at proect .

Mrs Craf, our r camper coordnator, said her favorite part of the activity was seeng the campers wor

together wth ove and cooperation to compete their own vision of this beautifu fag When I asked Mrs raft

what she thought when she saw the fna product she reped, "In one word? AWESOME It was beautifu to

see the fag but t was aso beautifu to see the effort of the campers working ogether to bring to fe Sams

vsion It is more evidence of the great gift of the mind and imagination that our Great God has gfted to us/

Thomas Paine wrote in hs essay ommon Sense, Ts not in numbers but in unity that our great strength

les  Unted in a common cause, the junor campers competed a beautifu vision Or framers were asounited in the beautfu vision of Liberty Becase of their cooperative sacrifices, we were a abe to meet this

week at Toah Np, earn about the onstitution, freey associate with ike-minded patrots, speak our mnds in

tth, and draw on the sidewak a beautifu epresenation of the Libety we a ove Thats why ohn Adams

was absoutey right when he said, "Libety must at a hazards be suppoted, we have a right to t derved from

or Maker/ We thank God for these moments and the minds abe to nderstand e is the athor of our

Liberty and wi always stand with us when we chose to defend it •
