Maria Co-Redentora Decimos que María es Co-Redentora, por su participación total en la obra de nuestra redención llevada a cabo por Jesucristo. El prefijo “ co “ viene de la palabra del Latin «cum» que significa «con» y «no igual a». El término, como ha sido usado por la Iglesia, nunca pone a María en nivel de igualdad con Jesucristo, el divino Redentor. La libre y activa cooperación humana de la Madre de Jesús en la redención, particularmente en la Anunciación y en el Calvario, es correctamente reconocida por el magisterio y las enseñanzas papales del Concilio Vaticano II --Cf. «Lumen Gentium» n. 56, 57, 58 y 61-- y se convierte en un ejemplo preeminente de cómo el cristiano está llamado a hacerse un «co-laborador con Dios»

46 Rosaries in Honor or Our Lady of Guadalupe.
Each year starting on October 28th a popular Mexican tradition dating back to the XIX
century is followed - the tradition of praying 46 rosaries in honor of the Virgin of Guadalupe.
A traditional spiritual preparation for the focal date of December 12th which is the feast of
Our Lady of Guadalupe.( La Virgin Morena).Worshipers gather to pray the rosary for 46 days in chapels, churches and homes.
They pray one rosary for every star (46 total)
that appeared on the mantle of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Holy Family School : Have you ordered your Christmas wreath yet? You still have time! You may order from any Holy Family School student after Mass, or you may call the school 262-8025. Wreaths are $20, swags are $18 and garland (25 foot) is $25. Parents, please mark on your calendar that there will be no school on Wednesday, November 23, Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25 for Thanksgiving break. Please note: there will be no A.C.E.S. childcare on these dates, as well. We wish all of our families happiness during this Thanksgiving holiday.

ROSAS PARA GUADALUPE Hasta el 11 de Diciembre podrás depositar en el anfora tus intenciones o peticiones a la Virgen. El anfora acompañara a la procesión y será entregada como ofrenda durante la misa en la Catedral en la misa de 12:00 am.
ROSES FOR GUADALUPE You can deposit your intentions or requests to the Virgin in the amphora until December 11th. The amphora will accompany the procession and will be given as an offering during the midnight Mass at the Cathedral.

In Parish Tuition Mass Attendance
To receive in Parish Tuition rates, there are three criteria that are used to measure eligibility for those who are registered in the parish. These are mass attendance, tithing, and volunteering in the parish. At Our Lady of the Americas we use both tithe envelopes and your signature as a sign that you were at Mass. If you do not these things you will be considered as not having been present at mass.

D ear parishioners, on the Solemnity of Our Lord Jesus Christ, King of the
Universe, St. Luke presents three crucified people on the summit of
Mount Calvary: The Redeemer of humanity and two criminals. There were also many others who
were condemned, but only these two were called to die next to Jesus, "The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world." To one of them he said:
"Today you will be with me in Paradise." When Our Lord Jesus Christ is absent, the fears are
many, the pretexts abound, excuses arise. If the Redeemer is lacking, nothing makes sense, nothing
counts. Without Him our faith is in vain. We can only have that paradise of which the scriptures
speak to us, solely and exclusively with and through Our Savior! The world becomes the antechamber of heaven by the virtue of charity.
These words of Christ to the good thief have given hope to men during more than two thousand years
of Christian history and will continue to do so until the end of time. Death is the door to Paradise and
"being with Him" is the goal of our entire Christian life. Let us make Him master of our hearts and strive to establish His Kingdom here on
earth that He may rule us with love, justice and peace.

de Cristo Rey del Universo nos presenta a
tres crucificados en la cumbre del Monte Calvario: El Redentor de
la humanidad y dos malhechores. Habían
también, otros muchos que estaban condenados, pero sólo estos dos fueron llamados para morir al
lado de Jesús, "El Cordero de Dios que quita el pecado del mundo". A uno de ellos le dijo: "Hoy
estarás conmigo en el paraíso". Cuando Nuestro Señor Jesucristo esta ausente, los temores son muchos, los pretextos abundan, los excusas surgen.
Si falta El Redentor nada tiene sentido, nada vale. Sin él vana es nuestra fe. Ese paraíso del que nos
hablan las escrituras, lo podemos tener unica y exclusivamente con, por y atraves de Nuestro
Salvador! El mundo se convierte en la antesala del cielo por la virtud de la caridad. Estas palabras de Cristo al buen ladrón han dado esperanza a los
hombres durante mas de dos mil años de historia cristiana y así seguirá siendo hasta la consumación
de los siglos. La muerte es puerta al paraíso y "estar con Él" es el objetivo de toda nuestra vida
cristiana. Hagámoslo dueño de nuestros corazones y luchemos por establecer Ssu Reino en esta tierra
para que nos gobierne con amor, justicia y paz.
Lucas 23, 35-43 Uno de los malhechores crucificados insultaba a Jesús, diciéndole: "Si tú eres el Mesías, sálvate a ti mismo y a nosotros". Pero el otro le reclamaba, indignado: "¿Ni siquiera temes tú a Dios, estando en el mismo suplicio? Nosotros justamente recibimos el pago de lo que hicimos. Pero éste ningún mal ha hecho". Y le decía a Jesús: "Señor, cuando llegues a tu Reino, acuérdate de mí". Jesús le respondió: "Yo te aseguro que hoy estarás conmigo en el paraíso".
Luke 23: 35-43 Now one of the criminals hanging there reviled Jesus, saying, “Are you not the Christ? Save yourself and us.” The other, however, rebuking him, said in reply, “Have you no fear of God, for you are subject to the same condemnation? And indeed, we have been condemned justly, for the sentence we received corresponds to our crimes, but this man has done nothing criminal.” Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” He replied to him, “Amen, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”
Mary Co-Redeemer We say that Mary is Co-Redeemer due to her full participation in the work of our redemption carried out by Jesus Christ. The prefix "co" comes from the Latin word "cum" which means "with" and "not equal to". The term, as it has been used by the Church, never puts Mary at the same level as Jesus Christ, the divine Redeemer. The free and active human cooperation of the Mother of Jesus in our redemption, particularly in the Annunciation and in Calvary, is rightly recognized by the Magisterium and the teachings of the Second Vatican Council. 'Lumen Gentium' n. 56, 57, 58 and 61 - and becomes a preeminent example of how Christians are called to become a "co-laborer with God".

El pasado domingo durante la misa tuvieron su envío los Ministros de Extraordinarios de Communion para Enfremos. Preparados para su función, los ministros desempeñan una importante labor haciendo llegar la Comunión a nuestros hermanos enfermos.
Road to Bethlehem Some 90 miles separate Nazareth from Bethlehem, route that Mary and Joseph would have taken according to the Gospels of Luke and Matthew. In those times the journey between Nazareth and Bethlehem could have taken from 4 to 6 days. People did it on foot, on animals (donkeys), on wagons, and especially in caravans, because the route was very dangerous. They had to face the challenges of the desert: weather, wild animals, and thieves ready to attack travelers. Advent For this time of Advent, we want to invite you to relive this journey. A journey full of hope, joy and above all of deep spiritual preparation, to receive the love of all loves. So prepare your things…. LET'S GO TO BETHLEHEM!!!
¿Sabias que? Lo importante que es para los cristianos celebrar, vivir y prolongar en la vida la presencia real del Señor en la liturgia. La liturgia permite a lo largo del año celebrar los misterios de la vida de Jesús teniendo su resurrección como eje. Y a este año se le conoce como ciclo o año litúrgico.
