Service and conditions

You must be aged 18 or over to buy or drink alcohol.

125ml servings of wine are available at 75% the cost of 175ml. The bar is 100% table service, there’s no self-service, please order and pay at table. Outside tables may be required to pay in advance.

For wheelchair users we have an access ramp and disabled WC, please ask. Public WC is in the corner opposite the counter. Free wifi is avaliable, free tap water too.No discounts apply in the bar. Corkage charge (difference between retail and bar price) is £10 per 75cl bottle of still wine, pro-rata for other sizes, not available for wines

under £10 retail, nor on spirits, fortified or sparkling wine. For all other drinks only the bar price applies. Only food and drink purchased here may be consumed here. Retail snacks cannot be consumed at table (it’s a VAT issue).

Our Lease and License are subject to various conditions: with the exception of the “bottle of wine + corkage” deal, and the tasting bar, only drinks and food from this bar list and menu can be consumed at table.

Food is prepared in an environment where nuts are present.House Rules: Gentlemen must wear shirts; guests at our outside tables may not interact with touts, jesters, soothsayers, beggers etc.

For wine the difference between shop and bar price is £10 per 75cl – both on the wine list and if

you choose from the shop and pay corkage. For still wines (not fizz)over £30 retail the bar price

is the same as retail. This ratio works pro-rata for other bottles sizes, is not available for wines

under £10 retail, nor for fortified wines. For all other drinks only the bar price applies.
