A. Events within the School
➢ On January 25, Republic Day was celebrated in school. This time we had an indoor assembly,
followed by a field event. The field event was along the lines of the Delhi Republic Day parade.
The celebrations started with class IV C doing an assembly based on the values of the Preamble.
The children enacted various episodes from a child’s school life to explain these to the audience.
The field event started with the hoisting of the National Flag by Ms. Anu Behl Roy and the
National Anthem being sung by all in attendance. Class V recreated the magic of Rajpath by
doing the March Past. It was followed by a melodious prayer - Jai Jan Bharat sung by the school
choir. Then we had some well synchronized drills and power-packed displays of dumbbells and
Taekwondo. Later, students of classes IV and V sang THIS LAND IS YOUR LAND. This time
we had a capoeira performance (which is a Brazilian martial art), done by Prof. Reza Baba
