General Safety Precautions

Carefully read and follow all safety instructions.1. When installing and assembling your gazebo, it is recommended that two or more people be

involved.

2. Do not use the unit during an electrical storm.

3. Do not climb on top of the gazebo. While the gazebo is made out of high-quality wood and isextremely durable, it is not meant to support weight. In addition, falling off of the gazebo whileclimbing on it can result in serious injury or death.

4. Do not attempt any repair without consulting the manufacturer first. Unauthorized repairs will voidthe manufacturer’s warranty (within the first 90 days).

Delivery and Set-Up

Planning the Best Location for Your GazeboMost cities and counties require permits for exterior construction and electrical circuits. In addition, some communities have codes requiring residential barriers such as fencing and/or self-closing gates on prop-erty to prevent unsupervised access to the property by children under the age of five. Your dealer can pro-vide information on which permits may be required and how to obtain them prior to the delivery of yourequipment.

The following are some of the things that you will need to consider when determining the placement ofyour new gazebo.

Consider How You Will Use Your GazeboHow you intend to use your gazebo will help you determine where you should position it. For example,will you use your gazebo for recreational purposes? If your gazebo is mainly used for family functions, besure to leave plenty of room around it for activity.

Consider Your Privacy In a cold weather climate, bare trees won’t provide much privacy. Think of your gazebos surroundingsduring all seasons to determine your best privacy options. Consider the view of your neighbors as well,when you plan the location of your gazebo.

Provide A View With Your Gazebo Think about the direction you will be facing when sitting in your gazebo. Do you have a speciallandscaped area in your yard that you find enjoyable? Perhaps there is an area that catches a soothingbreeze during the day and lovely sunset in the evening. Consider these things when you plan your loca-tion.

Preparing a Good FoundationYour gazebo needs a solid and level foundation. The area that it sits on must be able to support the weightof the gazebo and the occupants who use it. If the foundation is inadequate, it may shift or settle after thegazebo is in place, causing stress that could DAMAGE YOUR GAZEBO.

Place the gazebo on an elevated foundation (preferably a 3" concrete slab). Be sure that the concrete slabis at least 12" wider than the outside dimension on the gazebo.

* If you are installing a spa on an elevated wood deck or other structure, we strongly recommend thatyou consult a structural engineer or contractor to ensure the structure will support the weight of 150Lbs./ sq. ft.

* It is strongly recommended that a qualified, licensed contractor prepare the foundation for your spa.

NOTE: The gazebo above that is listed in bold lettering is the gazebo that you purchased.

NOTE: For all gazebos, regardless of model, it is recommended that the foundation extend beyond thedimension of the gazebo. For example, if the gazebo you purchased is 12’x12’, you will wantyour foundation to be 14’x14’. The reason for this is because it will be easier to maintain thearea around the gazebo (mowing the lawn, edging, etc.) without damaging or scarring thegazebo. Also, in doing this, you will eliminate any potential problems, foundation-wise, in thefuture.

NOTE: This Owner’s Manual applies to the various sizes that are included in the Lattice Gazebo line.While the sizes will vary from gazebo to gazebo, the assembly instructions will be the same,unless otherwise noted.

Assembly and InstallationThe following will tell you how to assembly your gazebo. If you have any questions, problems with mate-rial and/or parts, please contact your local retailer.

NOTE: It is strongly advised that you have a licensed professional install the foundation for your newgazebo. It is imperative that the foundation is level, as any damage that occurs due to an unevenfoundation is not covered by the warranty.

When assembling the gazebo, the owner must determine what is the gazebo going to cover. If you plan touse it as a cover for patio furniture, then you can place the gazebo whereever you want it.

If the gazebo is going to cover a spa, we recommend that the spa be located in the center of the slab (forweight distribution) with the gazebo main supports mounted to the concrete at each of the four corners.

1. Prior to delivery of your new Cal Spa, we recommend that you determine where your spa will beplaced. For example: if you are going to center your spa on the concrete slab, take measurements thatwill enable you to determine where the edges of the spa will be located. When done, mark the cornerlocations.)

2. Upon delivery of your new Cal Spa, notify the installation crew that you have determined where youwant the spa located.

3. After the spa has been installed and is operating, the assembly of the your new gazebo may begin.

IMPORTANT: THIS GAZEBO IS A FREE-STANDING UNIT. AS WITH ANY STRUCTURE, ITIS CRITICAL THAT ALL THE MAIN SUPPORT POSTS BE PLUMB (I.E., VER-TICALLY LEVEL). IF THE FIRST MAIN SUPPORT POST IS NOT PLUMB,THEN THE ENTIRE GAZEBO WILL BE MISALIGNED. THE BEST WAY TOKEEP THE STRUCTURE LEVEL IS TO USE A LEVEL AFTER EACH TIMEAN ITEM IS ATTACHED OR TIGHTENED. THIS WILL ENSURE THATAFTER EACH MAJOR STEP IS TAKEN, THE GAZEBO REMAINS LEVEL.

Order of AssemblyWhether you assemble your gazebo yourself or hire someone to do it, your new Bayside gazebo needs tobe assembled in a specific order. Our Cal Enclosures professionals have determined through their experi-ence that this is the easiest way to assemble your gazebo.

Step 1: Wall Panel Assembly -- OctagonFollow the written steps in conjunction with the figures that are shown.

NOTE: All wall panels are pre-assembled at thefactory before being shipped. Check theparts list that came with your gazebo andmake sure that all the parts are present.

1. Stand panels up vertically with the flush sideof the panel facing inward (fit panels togetheras shown in Figure 2A). Make sure thesmooth side of each wall panel is facing theinside of the gazebo.

2. Drill holes in all 2”x4” boards. The holeshave already been drilled for the wall panels.Line up the holes and mark the 2”x4” anddrill accordingly.

3. Insert the provided 7”x5/16” threaded rod andwasher into the pre-drilled holes and tightenwith the nut (Figure 2B).

4. To build the roof frame assembly, attach eachroof support (8 total) to the 8-sided roof cen-ter support using the provided drywall screws(Figure 2C).

Step 2: Composition Roof Assembly1. Having already assembled the wall panels,

and now the roof frame, pick up the roofassembly and place it on top of the wall panelassembly (Figure 3A).

2. The top of each wall panel support has a slot(8 total). Place each “rib” of the roof frameinto each one of these slots (Figure 3B).

3. Using the provided hardware, insert a5/16”x18”x3 1/2” bolt into the pre-drilledhole that is located on the slotted end of thewall panel support and the “rib” section ofthe roof frame.

4. Repeat this step until the roof frame issecurely attached to the wall panel assembly.

5. Take one 4-sided section of shingled roof andattach it to the corresponding location on topof the roof frame (Figure 3C).

6. Take each ridge cap and attach using drywallscrews (Figure 3D).

Step 3: Wall Panel Assembly -- RectangleNOTE: All wall panels are pre-assem-

bled at the factory before beingshipped. Check the parts list thatcame with your gazebo and makesure that all the parts are present.

1. Stand two panels up side by side.Attach the panels together using 5drywall screws (Figure 4A). Makesure the smooth side of each wallpanel is facing the inside of thegazebo.

2. Each corner should be secured follow-ing the sample in Figure 4B (inset).

3. Repeat this step until all the panels areattached. Figure 4B will show you thewall panel layout.

NOTE: The rounded corners attach to thewall panels the same way, with 5drywall screws. The owner mustuse care when securing the wallpanel and rounded cornertogether, as any damage incurredduring assembly is not coveredby the warranty.

NOTE: Use care when attaching the sidesand corners. Be sure that thescrews do not come in contactwith the windows.

Step 4: Roof Frame AssemblyWhen assembling the roof frame, lay everythingout and assemble it on a flat surface. Have anassistant help you when installing the roof frameon to the gazebo walls.

1. Take four 2”x4”x96” pieces of wood and four2”x4”x72” pieces of wood and lay them outon the ground (Figure 5A), in effect making asquare.

2. Use the provided drywall screws to attach allthe pieces together. When complete, the out-side diameter should measure 12’x16’ (Figure5B).

3. Place corner stabilizer (4 each) and attach ineach corner (Figure 5A) using drywall screws.Take four 2”x2”x24” pieces of wood andattach to each center point on the side of theroof frame.

4. Attach each corner together with the providedscrews, making sure to keep the 45˚ cornerpointing outward (Figure 5C - inset). This isthe top center frame.

5. Take four single-slider rafters and two dou-ble-slider rafters attach them to the middle ofeach side of the top center frame assembly(Figure 5C). Use the toe-in method (see inset)and follow the specified measurements (Fig-ure 5C).

6. Take the hip rafters (4 each) and attach themto each corner of the top center frame. Makesure that the 45˚ corner matches the 45˚ endon the hip rafters (Figure 6A).

7. Take 4 common rafters and attach them to themiddle of each side of the top center frameassembly (Figure 6A). Use the toe-in method(see inset).

8. With the common rafters now installed, attachthe remaining jack rafters using the toe-inmethod. Make sure that each jack rafter isspaced evenly apart. This will ensure suffi-cient anchoring points for the roof panels.

9. Figure 6B shows what the roof frame willlook like when it is completed.

NOTE: It is recommended that you have an assis-tant for the following step.

10. Place the assembled roof section on top of thewall panel assembly. Anchor the roof sectionby using drywall screws (Figure 6C).

Step 5: Roof Panel InstallationNOTE: It is strongly recommended that

you use a ladder for the final stepsof the gazebo assembly.

1. Place each roof panel in place (withthe edge resting on the panel supports)and mount using drywall screws (Fig-ure 7A).

NOTE: If your model gazebo has a domeroof, please refer to Step 3.

2. Using the provided hardware, mountthe dome bracket (Figure 7B).

3. Use 2 1/2” drywall screws to mountall ridge caps.

4. Set the roof assembly onto the wallpanel assembly and attach using dry-wall screws.

CleaningYour gazebo was designed with low cleaning and maintenance in mind. We recommend that the gazebobe cleaned at least twice a month (or more, if needed). When cleaning your gazebo, do not use cleaningsolvents -- using a sponge and water will be fine. For ground-in dirt and grime, refer to the following sec-tion.

MaintenanceMaintaining your gazebo is an easy task. We recommend that every six months you inspect the wood onyour gazebo. Take note of any deformities in the wood (i.e. cracking, peeling, dirt, grime, etc.). Spot sandthese areas with 120-grit sandpaper and wipe these areas clean with a damp rag. When dry, apply a coat ofstain or paint to the sanded area. Wipe the stained area clean and reapply until the sanded area matches therest of the gazebo.

NOTE: An 8oz. can of stain is supplied with each gazebo. To replace the can of stain, contact your localCal Enclosures dealer.

On models that have plexi-glass windows, use cheese cloth and warm water. These windows are made ofplexi-glass and do not hold up well under abrasive commercial cleaners.

Appendix

TroubleshootingQ: Why won’t the windows on the gazebo stay open or closed?

A: This is most likely due to the fact that your foundation is not level. Foundations will most likely havea 1/4" pitch for drainage reasons. To rectify this problem, the gazebo should be shimmed on the lowside. Using a standard level, shim the low side so that the gazebo is level.

Q: Why won’t the roof panels sit correctly on the roof frame?

A: Check the top plate on the top center frame and make sure it is level and installed correctly.

Q: My roof and wall panels are not lining up correctly, and there are small gaps in the joint seams.Why is this?

A: The main support post is not plumb (meaning vertically level). Make sure the main support post isplumb. Also, make sure that each of your main support beams is square in relation to the main sup-port post (meaning that there is a 90˚ angle when the main support post and the main support beamintersect).

Warranty LimitationsThe Limited Warranty is void if the gazebo has been subject to negligence, alteration, misuse, abuse,repairs by non- C.A.I. authorized representatives, acts of God and any other cases beyond the control ofC.A.I. Examples of common acts invalidating this warranty include but are not limited to:

• Use of the gazebo in a non-residential application

• Scratches caused by normal use

• Damage caused by extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, etc.)

90 DAY GAZEBO WARRANTY

5 YEAR SAUNA STRUCTURAL WARRANTY

C.A.I. warranties factory installed equipment:sauna heater and control system, against defectsin material and workmanship for a period of oneyear from the original date of purchase.

This warranty extends to the original purchaser at the original site ofinstallation only. This warranty becomes valid at time of purchaseand terminates either by specified time-frame listed above, ownertransfer, or relocation.

LEGAL REMEDIES

This warranty does not apply if the gazebo and/or sauna has beensubject to negligence, alteration, misuse, abuse, repairs by non-C.A.I. authorized representatives, incorrect installation, acts of God,and any other cases beyond the control of C.A.I. Examples of com-mon acts invalidating this guarantee include but are not limited to:• Failure to use a wood protectant (e.g., linseed oil)• Use of lacquer or paints• Gazebos and sauna accessories placed on non-approved sur-

This limited warranty applies only to the aforementioned productsnormally used for personal, family, or household purposes.

GUARANTEE LIMITATIONS

C.A.I. shall not be liable for loss of use of the gazebo and/or saunaincidental or consequential costs, expense or damages, which mayinclude but are not limited to removal of permanent deck or othercustomer fixture or the necessity for crane removal. Any impliedwarranty shall have duration equal to the duration of the applicablewarranty stated above. Under no circumstances shall C.A.I. or anyof its representatives be held liable for injury to any person or dam-age to any property, however arising.

DISCLAIMERS

In the event of a malfunction or defect covered under the terms ofthis warranty, a factory authorized service agent of C.A.I. will per-form the necessary repairs. To obtain service, contact the author-ized selling dealer. In the event the consumer is unable to obtainservice or satisfactory customer service from the authorized sellingdealer or service agent, written notification must be given to theC.A.I. Customer Relations Department within 10 days of reportedfailure. There will be no charge for parts on a covered item. How-ever, the authorized service agent may assess a reasonable travelor mileage charge per service call. If C.A.I. determines that repairof a covered item is not feasible, C.A.I. reserves the right toreplace the defective merchandise with merchandise of equalvalue to the original purchase price. In the event of any warrantyreplacement, all removal, replacement, installation, and shippingcosts are the primary responsibility of the customer.

Step 1: Corner Post Assembly1. Using the materials that are provided in your gazebo

kit, take one 4”x4”x108’ (9’) piece of lumber and 22”x6”x90” (7 1/2’) pieces of lumber (Figure 2).

2. Take the 2”x6” and center the lumber on the4”x4”piece of lumber. Once this is done, take fourdrywall screws (3”x8”) and attach the 2”x6” to the4”x4”. Repeat this sequence for the other 2”x6”.

NOTE: The 4”x4” and the 2”x6” (both pieces) shouldbe flush at the bottom.

3. Once this is complete, repeat these steps for all foursides of the gazebo.

4. Using the provided hardware, attach the galvanized“L” bracket to the 4”x4” (either side).

5. With the use of a level, and after ensuring that the2”x6” is between the spa and the 4”x4”, check thatthe support is level (top to bottom), and mark thelocation of the anchoring hole by scoring the con-crete.

Step 2: Anchoring the MainSupport Post

NOTE: When scoring the concrete, make sure that themark is dark enough to see, as you will bedrilling a hole in the concrete. This hole willbe where the anchoring bolt is located. Also, itis the owner’s responsibility to obtain a 1/2”masonry bit. This bit will be used to drill theanchoring holes in the foundation. A masonrybit may be bought at any local hardware store.

Refer to Figure 3 for steps 1 through 3.

1.Pre-drill the anchoring hole using a 1/2”masonry drillbit (see NOTE above). Drill the hole to a depth of noless than 3”. Using a hammer, insert the anchoringbolt by gently tapping the bolt into place. Continue totap into place until the anchoring bolt is seatedsecurely in the hole.

2.After drilling the hole and inserting the anchoringbolt, slide the main support post assembly on to theanchoring bolt and tighten down using the providedhardware.

3.Repeat these steps for all four corners of the gazebo.

The final placement of the main support posts is notedto the left (Figure 4). The main support posts should bemounted no less than 1” from the side of the spa. If thegazebo is touching the spa, and any damage is incurreddue to contact, the warranty on the spa siding is void.

The total distance between each main support post willbe determined by the size of the spa and gazebo thatwas purchased. The Cabana Gazebo has 3 sizes: 7’x7’,7.5’x7.5’, and 8’x8’. The desired distance between eachmain support post will be determined by the aforemen-tioned sizes.

Step 3: Roof AssemblyThe roof assembly is a relatively easy process. Themajority of the tasks are repetitive. The first part of theroof that needs to be assembled are the support mem-bers. Install the lower support members first and theupper support members second. The support membersare the 2”x6”x144” (12’).

Support Member AssemblyNOTE: This step requires the help of another person.

Use two ladders when hanging the main sup-port beams.

Tip: Try anchoring the ladders so they don’t movewhile you’re on top of them.

1.With the aid of a ladder, place one 2”x6”x144” roofsupport on top of the 2”x6”x90” piece (see Figure 5)and anchor it to the 4”x4”, using the provided drywallscrews. Make sure that the 2”x6”x144” is centeredbetween the two 4”x4” main support posts.

2.Place another 2”x6”x144” roof support on the oppo-site side of the 4”x4” main support post. Screw thispiece to the 4”x4” as well.

3.Repeat this process on the other main support poststhat are directly across from the main support poststhat were just completed.

4.Referring to Figure 5A, place another 2”x6”x144”roof support on top of the roof support that was justinstalled. This next roof support will in effect create a90˚ angle with the other 2”x6”x144” roof support.Secure the roof support with the provided drywallscrews (Figures 5B and 5C).

5.Repeat these steps for the remaining roof supportbeams (Figure 5D).

The 4”x4”x16” post is used to tie the roof grid togetherand re-enforce it (Figure 6). These posts should bemounted flush with the bottom of the roof supportbeams so they are at the same height as the main sup-port posts.

Roof Final Assembly1. Lay out the 2”x2”x140” roof slats on the two lower

levels of the gazebo. Make sure that each roof slat isspaced exactly 2 1/2” apart. Twelve roof slats totalwill be used on the lower level (Figures 7 and 8).

2. Secure each roof slat securely in place with 2 1/2”drywall screws.

3. Lay out the 2”x2”x144” roof slats on the one upperlevel of the gazebo. Make sure that each roof slat isspaced exactly 2 1/2” apart. These roof slats need tobe running the opposite direction as the lower levelroof slats.

Bar and Corbel, Step, and Stool AssemblyThe following will tell you how to assemble your bar and corbel, bar stool, and steps. If you have anyquestions, problems with material and/or parts, please contact your local retailer.

Bar and Corbel1. Place the bar top face down on the ground

(Figure 14).

NOTE: Use care when placing the bar top on theground. It is recommended that a sheet, ora blanket, be placed on the ground with thebar top being placed on top of the material.

2. Place the bar legs with the decorative finishfacing outward. Fasten to the bar top with 21/2” screws.

3. Fasten bar corbel to bar top and bar legs with2 1/2” screws.

NOTE: Once the bar assembly is complete, placethe bar between the main support posts.Push the bar assembly all the way againstthe spa. Attach the bar to the main supportposts by using drywall screws.

Step1. Stand the legs up at 5’ apart. Place the upper

step on top of the upper section of the step(Figure 15).

2. To attach the step, screw in 4 screws (2 ateach rear corner): 1 into the step leg and 1into the step itself.

3. Place the lower step on the lower section ofthe step.

4. To attach the step,screw in 4 screws (2 oneach on the outside of the step. Use the toe-inmethod on both sides, as shown.

Bar StoolThe final step in the assembly of your CabanaGazebo is the assembly of your bar stool(s).

1. Attach the bar stool legs to the support braceusing the provided drywall screws. There willbe a total of 12 screws (Figure 16).

2. Place the bar stool seat on a flat surface (makesure that the finish side is on the ground).Attach the leg assembly using 4 drywallscrews.

Ponderosa Gazebo Assembly -- Solid RoofThe following will tell you how to assembly your gazebo. If you have any questions, problems with mate-rial and/or parts, please contact your local retailer.


When assembling the gazebo, the owner must determine what is the gazebo going to cover. If you plan touse it as a cover for patio furniture, then you can place the gazebo wherever you want it.

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyNOTE: Follow the written steps in conjunc-tion with the figures that are shown.

1. Assemble all corner pieces togetherfirst (Figure 2).

2. Stand the 12”x88” corner wall panelsup first. Using the 2”x2”x88” cornerconnector, attach the wall panel andcorner connector together using theprovided drywall screws.

3. Attach the 2”x4”x6” corner stabilizer(triangle-shaped wood) and attach intwo locations: at the bottom of thewall and 44” from the bottom of thewall.

4. Repeat these steps until all 4 cornerpieces are assembled.

5. Stand the the 72”x88” front entranceopen wall panel and attach it to thecorner piece with the provided drywallscrews.

6. Attach the 96”x88” open wall panel tothe corner piece. Repeat this step untilall of the walls are attached to all ofthe corner pieces.

NOTE: Both 96”x88” panels will be directlyacross from each other. The 72”x88” panelswill be directly across from each other aswell.

Step 2: Roof Frame Assembly

1. Roof frame assembly

Lay out four 2x3x96” pieces and corner stabilizersas shown in Figure 3. Fasten pieces together usingthe provided screws and corner pieces.

2. Top center assembly

a. Lay out four 2x4x46 1/2" pieces and assemblethem as shown to complete the top centerframe.

b. Attach four hip rafters as shown to the topcenter frame.

3. Rafter assembly -- solid wood

Attach the rafter assembly to the largerframe using the toe-in method as shown inFigure 4.

Lower the roof frame assembly onto thewall panel assembly and fasten it with theprovided screws.

Order of AssemblyWhether you assemble your gazebo yourself or hire someone to do it, your new gazebo needs to beassembled in a specific order. Our Cal Enclosures professionals have determined through their experiencethat this is the easiest way to assemble your gazebo.

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyNOTE: Check the parts list that camewith your gazebo and make sure thatall the parts are present. Please followthe written steps in conjunction withthe figures that are shown.

1. Stand wall panels up verticallywith the flush side of the panelfacing inward (fit panelstogether as shown in Figure2A,C).

2. Drill holes in all 2”x4” boards.Use the wall panels as a tem-plate. Each wall panel has beenpre-drilled.

3. Insert the provided 5/16”x7”threaded rod and washer intothe pre-drilled holes andtighten with the nut (Figure2B).

4. Repeat until wall panel assem-bly is complete.

Step 2: Roof Frame AssemblyNOTE: Check the parts list that came withyour gazebo and make sure that all the partsare present. Also, please follow the writtensteps in conjunction with the figures that areshown.

1. Lay the 8-sided main roof supportsection flat on the ground (Figure 3A).

2. Take one 4-sided roof frame sectionand place the narrow end against the8-sided main roof support section(Figure 3B).

3. Using the provided hardware, inserttwo 3/8”x16”x4 1/2” hex-head capbolts through the pre-drilled holes(Figure 3C) and tighten with the washer and nut.

4. Repeat this process until roof frame iscomplete.

Step 3: Roof Frame Installation1. Using the provided hardware, insert two 5/16”x18”x3

1/2” bolts into the pre-drilled holes that are locatedon the sides of the 4-sided roof frame and tightenwith the washer and nut (Figure 4E).

2. Repeat until roof frame is complete.

NOTE: It is strongly recommended that two people per-form the following steps, as the roof assembly is extremelyheavy.

3. Having already assembled the wall panels, and nowthe roof frame, pick up the roof assembly and place iton top of the wall panel assembly.

4. The top of each wall panel support has a slot (8 slotstotal). Place each “rib” of the roof frame into eachone of these slots (Figure 4F).

5. Using the provided hardware, insert a 5/16”x18”x31/2” bolt into the pre-drilled hole that is located onthe slotted end of the wall panel support and the “rib”section of the roof frame.

6. Repeat this process until the roof frame is securelyattached to the wall panel assembly.

Step 4: Roof Shingling1. Take one 4-sided section of shingled

roof and attach it to the correspondinglocation on top of the roof frame.

2. Attach each individual corner roofshingle. Start at the bottom of the roofand work up to the top, securing eachshingle as you go (Figure 5).

3. Repeat this process until shingled roofsections are securely attached to theroof.

4. Using the provided metal trim, slid thenon-decorative piece under the shinglelayer, but above the plywood layer.

5. Attach the metal trim, using the pro-vided metal screws, by screwing itinto the plywood layer (from under-neath the roof).

6. Repeat this process until the metaltrim pieces are securely attached to theroof.

Step 5: Cupola InstallationNOTE: It is strongly recommended that two peo-ple perform the following steps, as the copula roofassembly is heavy.

1. Take the assembled copula and place it on topof the gazebo roof (Figure 6).

2. Attach each individual corner copula roofshingle. Start at the bottom of the copula roofand work up to the top, securing each shingleas you go. Repeat this process until all cornershingles are in place.

3. Attach the copula crown piece.

Bench Assembly1. After checking to see if all of the parts

are present, lay the top piece of thebench flat on the ground (smooth-sidedown).

2. Screw in each individual bench sup-port (Figure 7) with the providedscrews.

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyNOTE: The assembly instructions containedin this manual are for the Savannah OctagonGazebo that measures 18’x18’. The assem-bly instructions will be the same for the10’x10’, 12’x12’ and 14’x14’ models. Theonly difference in the assembly of thesethree models is the amount of steps theowner must perform.

NOTE: All wall panels are pre-assembled atthe factory before being shipped.

NOTE: Please follow the written steps inconjunction with the figures that are shown.

NOTE: The smooth side of each wall panelshould be facing the inside of the gazebo.

NOTE: Check the parts list that came withyour gazebo and make sure that all the partsare present.

1. Stand panels up vertically with theflush side of the panel facing inward(fit panels together as shown in Figure2A.

2. Drill holes in all 2”x4” boards. Theholes have already been drilled for thewall panels. Line up the holes andmark the 2”x4” and drill accordingly.

3. Insert the provided drywall screwsinto the pre-drilled holes and tightenwith a phillips-head screwdriver (Fig-ure 2B).

4. Repeat this step until wall panelassembly is complete (Figure 2C).

5. Using drywall screws to attach thecorbels, as shown in Figure 2C.

Step 2: Composition Roof AssemblyNOTE: Check the parts list that came withyour gazebo and make sure that all the partsare present. Also, please follow the writtensteps in conjunction with the figures that areshown.

1. Lay the 8-sided main roof supportsection flat on the ground. Referringthe Figure 3A, attach the roof supportboards to the 8-sided main roof sup-port.

2. With the assistance of another person,place the roof frame assembly onto theassembled wall panels. There is anotch at each corner of the wall panelassembly (8 total). Place the roofframe in these notches and secure withdrywall screws (Figure 3A).

3. Place the 4-sided roof tiles (8 total) inthe corresponding positions on theroof frame (narrow end on top, wideend on the bottom). Make sure eachroof tile is centered on each supportbefore securing. Secure using drywallscrews (Figure 3B). Repeat this stepuntil the roof frame is completely cov-ered.

4. Attach each ridgecap with drywallscrews (Figure 3B). Repeat this stepuntil each roof joint is covered with aridgecap.

5. With the aid of a ladder, place the cop-ula on top of the finished gazebo.Using the drywall screws, attach thecopula to the roof frame (Figure 3C).

The assemblyinstructions will be the same for the 8’x12’,10’x10’, 10’x12’, 10’x16’ and 12’x12’ models.The only difference in the assembly of these fivemodels is the amount of steps the owner mustperform.

NOTE: All wall panels are pre-assembled at thefactory before being shipped.

NOTE: Please follow the written steps inconjunction with the figures that are shown.

NOTE: The smooth side of each wall panelshould be facing the inside of the gazebo.

NOTE: Check the parts list that came with yourgazebo and make sure that all the parts are pres-ent.

1. Stand two panels up side by side. Attach thepanels together using 5 drywall screws (Fig-ure 4A).

2. At each wall seam, attach a 2”x4” Splice. Thiswill tie-in and stabilize the walls (Figure 4A).

3. Repeat this step until all the panels areattached. Figure 4B will show you the properarrangement of panels.

NOTE: The rounded corners attach to the wallpanels the same way, with 5 drywall screws. Theowner must use care when securing the wall paneland rounded corner together, as any damageincurred during assembly is not covered by thewarranty.

Step 2: Roof Frame AssemblyWhen assembling the roof frame, it is rec-ommended that you lay everything out andassemble it on a flat surface. It is also rec-ommended that there be another personavailable when installing the roof frame onto the gazebo walls.

NOTE: Check the parts list that came withyour gazebo and make sure that all the partsare present. Also, please follow the writtensteps in conjunction with the figures thatare shown.

1. Take the gable ends and attachtogether using drywall screws (Figure5A). Use the toe-in method for attach-ment.

2. Stand each gable end up and placeabout 6’ apart.

3. Take two 2”x4”x67” common raftersand attach them to both gable ends(Figure 5B). This will keep the roofframe assembly stable while complet-ing the assembly process.

4. Attach two rafter boards at the ends ofthe gable roof assembly (Figure 5B).

5. Take four common rafters and attachthem to their corresponding locations(as shown in Figure 5B). Make surethat each common rafter is spacedequally apart.

6. Using the provided drywall screws,attach the corbels (Figure 5B).

7. Repeat these steps until the roof frameassembly is complete.

Step 3: Roof Panel InstallationNOTE: It is strongly recommended that you use a ladderfor the final steps of the gazebo assembly.

1. Each roof section (4 total) must be set on top of thewall panel assembly and secured. When complete, tiein each roof section to the next roof section with dry-wall screws (Figure 6A, 6B and 6C).

2. Use 2”x4” splice to reinforce the underside of theroof sections. Secure using drywall screws (Figure6D).

Step 4: Roof InstallationNOTE: It is strongly recommended that youuse a ladder for the final steps of the gazeboassembly.

NOTE: When installing the T1-11 plywood(grooved side facing down), the edge of theplywood should overhang the edge of theplexi-glass gable end 4 1/2”.

1. Begin by placing one roof panel on tothe roof section and secure using dry-wall screws. Refer to the aboveNOTE: (Figure 7A). Repeat this stepuntil all of the roof panels are secured.

2. Once the roof panels are secured, rollout the felt paper along the bottom ofthe roof panels (Figure 7B). Make surethat each layer of felt paper overlapsthe previous layer.

3. To help reinforce the gable ends,attach a corbel to each side, on thegable seam. Secure with drywallscrews (Figure 7B).

4. Place each roof tile panel on top of theroof. Do not secure yet. Line up tilepanels and make sure that everythingis flush, all the way around (Figure7B) and that all the channels fittogether.

5. Please use the following methods tosecure the tile panels (Figure 7C):

a. Use 1 1/2” screws around theoutside portion of the roof(outer-most edge).

b. Use 3/4” screws staggered allacross the roof panels, in thevalleys.

6. Attach the roof trim on each end of theroof using drywall screws (Figure 7C).

7. Place the ridgecap on top of the roof assembly and attach using drywallscrews (Figure 7C).

1. Stand two panels up side by side.Attach the panels together using 5drywall screws (Figure 2).

2. Repeat this step until all the panels areattached. Figure 2 will show youwhich order to go in.

NOTE: The rounded corners attach to thewall panels the same way, with 5 drywallscrews. The owner must usecare whensecuring the the wall panel and rounded cor-ner together, as any damage incurred duringassembly is not covered by the warranty.

NOTE: Use care when attaching the sidesand corners. Be sure that the windows donot come in contact with the mountingscrews.

Step 2: Roof Frame AssemblyWhen assembling the roof frame, it is recommended thatyou lay everything out and assemble it on a flat surface. It is also recommended that there be another person available when installing the roof frame on to thegazebo walls.

NOTE: Check the parts list that came with your gazebo andmake sure that all the parts are present. Also, please followthe written steps in conjunction with the figures that areshown.

1. Take two 2”x4”x46 1/2” pieces of wood and two2”x4”x94 1/2” pieces of wood and lay them out onthe ground (Figure 3A), in effect making a rectangle.

2. Use the provided drywall screws to attach all thepieces together.

3. Place corner stabilizer (4 each) and attach in eachcorner (Figure 3C) using drywall screws.

4. Attach each corner together with the providedscrews, making sure to keep the 45˚ corners pointingoutward (Figure 3B). This is the top center frame.

5. Take the hip rafters (4 each) and attach them to each corner of the top center frame. Make sure that the 45˚corner matches the 45˚ end on the hip rafters (Figure3B).

6. Take 4 common rafters and attach them to the middleof each side of the top center frame assembly (Figure3C). Use the toe-in method.

7. With the common rafters now installed, attach the theremaining jack rafters using the toe-in method. Makesure that each jack rafter is spaced evenly apart. Thiswill ensure sufficient anchoring points for the roofpanels (Figure 3C).

NOTE: It is recommended that you have an assistant for thefollowing step.

8. Place the assembled roof section on top of the wallpanel assembly. Anchor the roof section by usingdrywall screws (Figure 3D).

1. Prior to installing the roof panels, a center linemust be drawn on the top side of each rafter(Figure 4A).

2. Place each roof panel in place (with the edgebeing flush with the center line) and mountusing drywall screws (Figure 4B).

3. Use 2 1/2” drywall screws to mount all ridgecaps (Figure 4C).

4. Set the roof assembly onto the wall panelassembly and attach using drywall screws.

Step 4: Dome InstallationNOTE: The final steps of the gazeboassembly will require the use of a ladder.

1. Fasten the dome brackets to the centerof each side of the dome (Figure 5)

2. Set the dome assembly onto the topcenter roof.

3. From the inside the gazebo secure thedome assembly to the roof assemblyusing the dome brackets and drywallscrews.

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyAll wall panels are pre-assembled at thefactory before being shipped. Check theparts list that came with your gazebo andmake sure that all the parts are present.

The smooth side of each wall panel shouldbe facing the inside of the gazebo.

Follow the written steps in conjunction withthe figures that are shown.

All wall panels are pre-assembled at thefactory before being shipped.

1. Stand panels up vertically with theflush side of the panel facing inward(fit panels together as shown in Figure2A).

2. Drill holes in all 2”x4” boards. Theholes have already been drilled for thewall panels. Line up the holes andmark the 2”x4” and drill accordingly.

3. Insert the provided 7”x5/16” threadedrod and washer into the pre-drilledholes and tighten with the nut (Figure2B).

4. To build the roof frame assembly,attach each roof support (8 total) to the8-sided roof center support using theprovided drywall screws (Figure 2C).

2. Place the 4-sided roof tiles (8 total) in the correspon-ding positions on the roof frame (narrow end on top,wide end on the bottom). Make sure each roof tile iscentered on each support before securing. Secureusing drywall screws (Figure 3B). Repeat this stepuntil the roof frame is completely covered.

3. Attach each ridgecap with drywall screws (Figure3C). Repeat this step until each roof joint is coveredwith a ridgecap.

4. With the aid of a ladder, place the copula (birdhouse) on top of the finished gazebo. Using the drywallscrews, attach the copula to the roof frame (Figure3D).

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyThe assembly instructions contained in thismanual are for the Plexi Rectangle Gazebo that measures 12’x16’. The assem-bly instructions will be the same for the8’x12’, 10’x10’, 10’x12’, 10’x16’ and12’x12’ models. The only difference in theassembly of these five models is theamount of steps the owner must perform.

All wall panels are pre-assembled at thefactory before being shipped. Check theparts list that came with your gazebo andmake sure that all the parts are present.

The smooth side of each wall panel shouldbe facing the inside of the gazebo.

Follow the written steps in conjunctionwith the figures that are shown.

1. Stand two panels up side by side.Attach the panels together using 5drywall screws (Figure 4A).

2. At each wall seam, attach a 2”x4”Splice. This will tie-in and stabilizethe walls (Figure 4A).

3. Repeat this step until all the panels areattached. Figure 4B will show youwhich order to go in.

NOTE: Rounded corners only come on theLuxury model.

The rounded corners attach to the wallpanels the same way, with 5 drywallscrews. The owner must use care whensecuring the wall panel and rounded cornertogether, as any damage incurred duringassembly is not covered by the warranty.

Step 2: Roof Frame AssemblyWhen assembling the roof frame, it is rec-ommended that you lay everything out andassemble it on a flat surface. The ownershould also note that there are different sizesin the Plexi line of gazebos. These directionsare generalized, relating to measurements.

NOTE: Check the parts list that came withyour gazebo and make sure that all the partsare present. Also, please follow the writ-ten steps in conjunction with the figures thatare shown.

1. Take four 2”x3”x96” pieces of wood(these are the sides) and four2”x3”x72” pieces of wood (these arethe ends) lay them out on the ground(Figure 5A), in effect making a rectan-gle.

2. Place corner stabilizers (4 each) andattach in each corner using drywallscrews. Attach 2”x2”x24” splice (4each) at each center joint. This willreinforce the roof frame (Figure 5A).

3. Use the provided drywall screws toattach all the pieces together (Figure5B).

4. Attach each corner together with theprovided screws, making sure to keepthe 45˚ corners pointing outward(Figure 5C - inset). This is the top cen-ter frame.

5. Take the hip rafters (4 each) and attachthem to each corner of the top centerframe. Make sure that the 45˚ cornermatches the 45˚ end on the hip rafters(Figure 5D).

6. Take 4 common rafters and attachthem to the middle of each side of thetop center frame assembly (Figure6E). Use the toe-in method (see inset).

7. With the common rafters nowinstalled, attach the the remaining jackrafters using the toe-in method. Makesure that each jack rafter is spacedevenly apart. This will ensure suffi-cient anchoring points for the roofpanels.

8. Figure 6F shows what the roof framewill look like when it is completed.

NOTE: It is recommended that you have anassistant for the following step.

9. Place the assembled roof section ontop of the wall panel assembly. Anchorthe roof section by using drywallscrews (Figure 6G).

1. Attach the dome brackets to the centerof each side of the dome frame (Figure8).

2. Set the dome assembly onto the topcenter roof.

3. From the inside the gazebo secure thedome assembly to the roof assemblyusing the dome brackets and drywallscrews. There will be four domebrackets that will connect to each sideof the dome frame.

3. Use the provided drywall screws toattach all the pieces together. Whencompleted, the roof frame should be12' across (inside dimension) on allfour sides).

Step 1: Wiring AssemblyThe Lighthouse Gazebo comes with light fixtures located on the dome and the ceiling light panel (Figure2). These light fixtures are already pre-wired. The owner will have to connect the lights and will also haveto supply the power source.

NOTE: We recommend that the owner have the light assembly wired into same panel that the spa iswired to. This should be done by a qualified electrician.

Follow the written steps in conjunction with the figures that are shown.

1. The dome light must be wired to the ceiling panel light which, in turn, must be wired to the right frontpanel.

2. Referring to Figure 2, plug the 4-pin (male) plug into the 4-pin receptacle (female). Make sure theconnection is secure.

3. After each connection has been made, carefully tuck any excess wire up and out of the way.

This view is from the inside of the gazebo,not from the outside.

1. Stand two luxury round corners upand attach them to the filler wall panelwith 3 drywall screws. Repeat thisstep for the other side (Figure 4B).

NOTE: The electrical filler wall panel isdistinguished from the other fillerwall panel by the cut-outs. Thesecut-outs will be used for the elec-trical power input andthe light switch.

2. After assembling the corners, standthem up 6’ apart. Place the door panelin between the two corner assemblies(Figure 4B).

3. Using 3 drywall screws (6 total),attach the corner assemblies to thedoor panel (Figure 4B). Repeat thisstep for both sides of the door panel.

NOTE: The view that is shown in Figure4 is from the inside of the gazebo.Therefore, the electrical fillerpanel will be located on the rightside.

4. Attach the towel rack to the inside ofthe left side corner assembly with theprovided drywall screws (Figure 4B).

5. Figure 4C shows how the frontentrance assembly will look whencompleted. Line the corners of thefront entrance assembly with the cor-ners of the wall assembly and attachusing drywall screws.

1. The crown molding must be attached (asshown in Figure 5A) using drywall screws.The crown molding will go over each cornerassembly.

2. Place the overhead light panel assembly ontop of the front wall panel assembly (Figure5B). Align the rounded corners of the lightpanel with the rounded corners of the wallpanel.

The light locations will be as follows:

• One light will go in each corner (insideof gazebo).

• Three lights will be right above the door(outside of gazebo).

4. Attach with drywall screws.

5. Please refer to “Wiring Assembly” on Page 9for wiring instructions.

6. The ‘Electrical-In Box’ in Figure 5B is wherethe incoming power will be wired.

1. Lay the roof frame out on a flat surface (Fig-ure 6A). Use the provided drywall screws toattach all the pieces together.

2. When complete, the inside dimension shouldmeasure 12’x16’. Remove the two 2”x3”x24”pieces after the roof installation is complete(Figure 6B).

3. Place corner stabilizer (4 each) and attach ineach corner (Figure 6A) using drywall screws.

4. Take two 2”x4”x94 1/2” pieces of wood andtwo 2”x4”x46 1/2” pieces of wood and laythem out on the ground (Figure 6C), in effectmaking a rectangle.

5. Attach each corner together with the providedscrews, making sure to keep the 45˚ cornerspointing outward (Figure 6C - insert). This isthe top center frame.

6. Take the hip rafters (4 each) and attach themto each corner of the top center frame. Makesure that the 45˚ corner matches the 45˚ endon the hip rafters (Figure 6D).

Use a ladder for the final steps of thegazebo assembly.

1. Prior to installing the roof panels, theledgerboards must be installed (Figure8A). Attacheach ledger board to therafters (common, hip and jack) andsecure using drywall screws.

2. Place each roof panel in place (patternfacing out) and mount using drywallscrews (Figure 8A).

3. Using the provided hardware, mountthe dome bracket (Figure 8A).

4. Use 2 1/2” drywall screws to mountall crown caps (Figure 8B).

5. Set the dome light assembly into thedome housing and secure with drywallscrews (Figure 8B).

Step 3: Roof Panel InstallationNOTE: It is strongly recommended thatyou use a ladder for the final steps of thegazebo assembly.

1. Prior to installing the roof panels, acenter line must be drawn on the topside of each rafter (Figure 4A).

2. Place each roof panel in place (withthe edge being flush with the centerline) and mount using drywall screws(Figure 4B).

3. Using the provided hardware, mountthe dome bracket (Figure 4C).

4. Use the provided screws to mount allridge caps (Figure 4C).

2. Lower the dome assembly onto the top centerframe.

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyAll wall panels are pre-assembled at thefactory before being shipped.The smoothside of each wall panel should be facing theinside of the gazebo.

Follow the written steps in conjunction withthe figures that are shown.

1. Place the wall panel on a flat surface.Be sure not to set it on any surface thatcan possibly scratch the surface of thewindows.

2. Fit the rounded luxury corner onto thewall panel and attach using the pro-vided drywall screws (Figure 2A).Repeat this step for the remaining wallpanels.

3. Referring to Figure 2B, make sure thateach wall panel (2 each) is securelyattached to each rounded luxury cor-ner (3 each).

Step 2: Roof Frame AssemblyIt is suggested that the owner have a helperfor the next steps, as heavy objects must belifted.

1. Take 3 2”x4”x46 1/2” pieces andattach them together, making a trian-gle, and ensuring that the 45˚ angle-cut is facing out (Figure 3A). This isthe top center frame.

2. Take three hip rafters and attach themto the 45˚ angle at each corner of thetop center frame. Secure using drywallscrews (Figure3A).

3. Place the assembled roof frame ontothe assembled wall panels (Figure 3A)and attach using the provided drywallscrews.

4. Attach two roof panels (47”x109”)and secure using drywall screws. Cen-ter each panel on the hip rafters (Fig-ure 3C).

5. Place moon roof (48”x48”x65 1/2”)on top of roof assembly and secureusing drywall screws (Figure 3C).

6. Attach the crown molding and roofridgecaps with 2 1/2” screws (Figure3B and 3C).

Step 3: Step and Bar Assembly1. Stand the legs up at 5’ apart. Place the

upper step on top of the upper sectionof the step (Figure 4A).

2. To attach the step, screw in 4 screws(2 at each rear corner): 1 into the stepleg and 1 into the step itself (see insertof Figure 4A).

3. Place the lower step on the lower sec-tion of the step (Figure 4B).

4. To attach the step,screw in 4 screws (2on each on the outside of the step - seeinsert on Figure 4B). Use the toe-inmethod on both sides, as shown.

NOTE: The manufacturer recommendsmounting corbels on the cabinet so that thebar top sits just under the spa lip.

5. Using drywall screws, mount the cor-bels directly to the cabinet wall (Fig-ure 4C). Make sure that the corbels arehorizontally level with each other.

6. Mount the bar top to the corbels withthe drywall screws (Figure 4C). Thescrews must be mounted from theunderside of the bar top. Make surethat the bar top rests just below the lipof the spa.

Step 1: Wall Panel AssemblyFollow the written steps in conjunction with the figures that are shown.

1. Stand two panels up side by side. Attach thepanels together using 5 drywall screws (Fig-ure 2A).

2. Repeat this step until all the panels areattached. Figure 2B will show you the properarrangement of panels.

NOTE: The rounded corners attach to the wallpanels the same way, with 5 drywallscrews. The owner must use care whensecuring the the wall panel and roundedcorner together, as any damage incurredduring assembly is not covered by thewarranty.

NOTE: Use care when attaching the sides andcorners. Be sure that the screws do notcome in contact with the windows.

Step 2: Roof Frame AssemblyWhen assembling the roof frame, it is recommended that you lay everything out and assemble it on a flat surface. It is also recommended that there be another person available when installing the roof frame on tothe gazebo walls.

NOTE: Check the parts list that came with yourgazebo and make sure that all the parts are present.Also, please follow the written steps in conjunc-tion with the figures that are shown.

1. Take four 2”x4”x46 1/2” pieces of wood andlay them out on the ground (Figure 3A), ineffect making a square.

2. Use the provided drywall screws to attach allthe pieces together. When complete, the out-side dimension should measure 4’x4’.

3. Place corner stabilizer (4 each) and attach ineach corner (Figure 3C) using drywall screws.

4. Attach each corner together with the providedscrews, making sure to keep the 45˚ cornerspointing outward (Figure 3B - insert). This isthe top center frame.

5. Take the hip rafters (4 each) and attach themto each corner of the top center frame. Makesure that the 45˚ corner matches the 45˚ endon the hip rafters (Figure 3B).

6. Take 4 common rafters and attach them to themiddle of each side of the top center frameassembly (Figure 3C).

7. With the common rafters now installed, attachthe the remaining rafters. Make sure that eachrafter is spaced evenly apart. This will ensuresufficient anchoring points for the roof panels.

8. Figure 3D shows what the roof frame willlook like when it is completed.

IMPORTANT! You will need an assistant for thefollowing step.

9. Place the assembled roof section on top of thewall panel assembly. Anchor the roof sectionby using drywall screws (Figure 3D).

1. Take four 2”x3”x96” pieces of wood and lay themout on the ground (Figure 3), in effect making asquare.

2. Place corner stabilizers (4 each) and attach in eachcorner using drywall screws.

3. Use the provided drywall screws to attach all thepieces together. The completed roof frame shouldmeasure 8' across (inside dimensions) on all sides).
