PHOTOGRAPHIC PREVIEW PRINTS

Photographic Preview Prints are printed on Kodak

Endura Pro Luster paper and are perfect when

printed “proofs” are needed. Order your various

images in the same print size to take advantage

of volume pricing. There is a $10 minimum order

requirement. Loose-bound proofs are offered in

four sizes and various border designs and colors

are available as well. Photographic Preview Prints

are available in five different sizes to meet your

needs.

Spiral Bound Preview Prints make a wonderful

flipbook for clients. Final print size is 4x6” and

you choose between black or white for the

½” border and drop your image into the 4x5”

opening. Continue customizing your book with

black or white spiral binding placed along the

long edge or short edge. We will then complete

the presentation with a light frosted cover and a

black end sheet.

• Files should be no greater than 10 MB and

saved as a level 10 in Photoshop. Files sizes

larger than 10 MB will result in slower file

transfer time and will not improve print

quality. Expect the same quality as our

other photographic prints but with volume

discounting on several same-size prints

versus a smaller order of mixed-size prints

PHOTOGRAPHIC PREVIEW BOOKLETS

Our Preview Booklet makes a professional “image catalog” with a minimum amount of effort on your part.

We bond two sides back-to-back and wire-bind them with a page stiffener between them. They are then

finished with a solid black cardstock cover with a linen-type texture.

The 10x10 Preview Booklet is offered with 4, 9, or 12 images per side. Image sizes are large enough to view

and order from, but small enough to discourage those who would be tempted to copy them. The maximum

number of sides per book is 80. For orders requiring more than 80 sides, you will need to split the book into

multiple volumes.

• Layout choices of 4, 9, large 9-up images or 12 images per side

• Drag-and-drop your images into the page layouts in any order you choose

With so many options for customization available,

our Press Printed Preview books are economical

and enduring. Choose from a hardcover or

soft cover book and several binding styles.

Customize a hard cover book further with your

choice of fabric, faux leather or your own wrap-

around photo cover created in Photoshop or

your preferred design program. Pages are matte

coated and you decide the number of images

shown per page.

• Available in 8 x 8” and 8.5 x 11”

FRAMING

• Available for 6 print sizes: 8x10”, 10x20”, 11x14”,

16x16”, 16x20”, 20x24”

• 14 frame styles in three price categories for any

budget

We print and mount your image and you choose a

frame to complement it. With 14 styles in a range of

prices, our frame line makes it easy to satisfy your

client’s taste and budget.

Frames are available for 6 print sizes: 8x10”, 10x20”,

11x14”, 16x16”, 16x20” and 20x24”. Options such as

paper type, spray and textures choices are available

on our framed prints, just as they are on our

unframed prints and are finished with a black paper

backing and hanging hardware already installed.

You may also choose to add a mat and glass to your

framed print. When ordering a mat, we use a larger

frame, glass and mat to accommodate your selected

print size.

Turnaround time for all frame orders is approximately

4 days in lab plus shipping.

• Price includes luster print, mount and selected

Increase the drama and durability of your prints

with our Finishing Services. You may add lacquer

coating on our luster prints and a textured

surface to our luster or metallic photographic

papers.

We offer three texture options: Canvas, Linen

and Small Pebble. Canvas Texture creates the

appearance of an artist’s canvas, Linen Texture

adds the old-world appearance of Irish Linen

Rag, and Small Pebble produces a professional

touch and discourages successful scanning of

your photo.

Increase your photo’s durability by protecting it

from dust, finger prints and preventing it from

adhering to glass by adding our Lacquer Coating.

Lacquer is sprayed on the print surface and is

available on luster paper only. Lacquer Coating

doesn’t change the appearance of the printed

image.

RETOUCHING

Slight imperfections can take away from your

studio session time, so we provide a range of

Retouching Services from red eye and glass glare

removal to fixing strap lines and shadows.

• Retouched images are provided to you via

email once artwork is complete.

• Standard Retouching is charged per head

and includes evening of the skin tone but

does not include scars or moles. If more than

one subject is in the image please indicate

who needs to be retouched. If no indication

is made you will be charged for each subject.

• Remove Braces is an option that is not always

possible. There must be sufficient amount of

tooth available for cloning. If the area is too

dark it will leave an unnatural look so we may

opt to not attempt this request. In this case

you will be notified and given the option of

whether or not to continue with the prints

from that image.

• With the Fill in an Area option you need to

indicate the area to be filled in and what you

would like it to be filled with. Multiple charges

may apply if it is a larger or difficult area.

• Remove Small Object & Remove Large Object-

these options would be treated much the same

as fill in an area; please indicate which object you

want removed and filled in with what.

• The Clone Eye option is valuable when you have

a subject with one or both eyes closed. You

will need to indicate which subject needs an

eye cloned and our art department will take

an eye from another image. It is helpful if you

indicate an image with the subject’s eyes open.

(Bear in mind you will need to order from the

image that you want us to take the eyes from in

order to have the software include this order for

transmission).

• Combine Two Images- a common use of this

option is when you need to have a person from

one image added to another. As with the Clone

Eye option, you will need to order a print of both

images so that they are sent to the lab.

• Spot Colorization is a very popular option.

This art option allows for a color image to be

desaturated and an area then brought back to

full color. You will need to indicate which area

you want colored in the instructions. The end

result of this option is a black and white image (or

sepia upon request) with one area that retains its

original color. You will need to be sure to order

this image in color. If you order black and white

it will print the color portion in black and white

also.

• Other offered services include: Remove Tan Lines,

Red Eye, Glass Glare, Eyeglass Shadow and Stray

Hair as well as Retouching on Arms, Legs, etc.

Artboard Dry Mount (0.125” thick)—a rigid backing

for mounting inside a frame. This fiber-based board

could warp if left unframed on sizes above 11x14”.

Artboard is available in most sizes 5x7” and larger.

Styrene (2mm thick)—a plastic mounting white

board. This rigid board is one of the best mounting

substrates available and is an economical mounting

option. Styrene is available in all sizes 5x7” and

Standout Mount ( 0.75” and 1.5” thick)—prints are

mounted to a very lightweight, durable board with a

stainless, maple (light wood), white or black border.

Pre-drilled holes or slots on backside making your

We print your image directly to the canvas and sleekly wrap it around a 1 ½” thick wooden frame. With staple-free sides, tightly tucked corners, and metal hangers and bumpers attached to the back, your Gallery Wrap arrives ready to hang. The Gallery Wrap pricing includes satin coating, which provides UV protection and prevents scratches due to normal handling.

For images that have a fine art style, we offer a Giclée (zhee-‘clay) printing service. We use high quality acid-free

paper that has a velvety feel similar to watercolor paper. Using industry-leading archival-grade Epson printers,

we can print your image up to 24 x 36”.

If you plan to float your image within a matted frame or shadow box, you can choose the “deckle edge” option

that gives the edges of your print the torn paper look. When not electing the deckle edge option, you may

choose to have your Giclée print mounted to Artboard, Styrene, Foamboard or a Standout Mount. These

mounting options vary dependent upon the print size.

ROES - MAIN

Those who are familiar with ROES choose this program to order nearly all our products. The Black River Imaging

software is both PC and Mac compatible and is a ROES based program. This software allows you to load your

ROES - ALBUMS AND BOOKS

The ROES based Albums and Books software is for the photographer that wants to order one of our albums

or books, creates their layouts in a third party software and wants to bypass the online posting of the images.

This is both a PC and Mac compatible software with simple drag and drop full frame openings and the cover

CASCADE

Cascade is intuitive and powerful ordering software available exclusively through Black River Imaging. It allows

for a simple step by step order process so there are no surprises. You can create layouts, use our predesigned

layouts within the software or upload your layouts. Flip through pages, experiment with layouts, swap brown

leather for ivory crocodile. On a budget? Cascade automatically tallies your price as you add or delete options.

Turn this feature off for client presentations. Cascade is both Mac and PC compatible and offers our full line of

album and book products.

ALBUM MANAGER AND APPROVE My ALBUM

The Album Manager option is accessed from the BRI Family Tab under the My BRI section of the website when

you are logged in to the site. From this log in you will be able to manage all of your album events that are either

direct uploaded by way of the Add an Event and Add Images options on the Album Manager site or uploaded via

the Cascade software. Events posted to the Album Manager site will be hosted online at no charge for six months

from the event creation date. During the online time you may add covers and check out as many times as you

need to and you may post the events online for your clients to view and approve at the Approve My Album site.

The Approve My Album site allows you to add your own banner and link to your web site so that your clients can

have that streamlined appearance of never leaving your site. Because Album Manager allows you to upload events

directly and through Cascade, the orders are also completed in two different ways. With Cascade events, once

your client notifies you of their approval, you’ll open the corresponding project and click the Order button on the

product you wish to upload for printing and walk through the steps to finalize your Cascade order. With events

that were uploaded through Album Manager, clients will okay the pages, approve the cover information, answer

yes that they understand they can not make changes if they choose to continue and then enter their name while

the IP address is recorded (not available with Cascade events). This prevents accidental approvals and tracks who

approves the order as well. (Sierra, The Picture Book, Custom Magazines and Companion Books not available.)

Payment Terms and Conditions

All orders are paid for by a credit card or debit card

at the time the order is placed, with addition of

paying by PayPal when placing a web order. We

do not offer open accounts or pre-pay accounts.

If you do not have a credit card we recommend

getting a Visa gift card from your bank with pre-

paid funds. This works just like a credit card but

you pre-load your balance. We accept MasterCard,

Visa, Discover and American Express cards.

Account Information

All customers begin by creating a log in on our

website to gain full access to our ordering software

and pricing. You will then need to ensure your

email address in any of our ordering software

matches this log in. Any address, phone or email

changes will need to be made under the Account

Dashboard once you have log in on the BRI

site and choose MY BRI. Changes made in the Approve My Album ordering software are not reflected on your account.

In-Lab Times

We make every order as it is received. See our in-

turnaround-time-details/. Promotions on products

could result in a delay in the normal turn-around

time as well. Please allow your customer a realistic

time for delivery.

Pricing

Pricing is subject to change without notice. The

most current pricing will be found on our website

and in our ordering software.

Free Shipping

US orders over $35.00 qualify for free shipping if

we select the carrier. If your order totals less than

$35.00 your order will be charged a shipping and

handling fee of $6.95.

Drop Shipping

You can choose to have orders shipped to an

address other than the one on your account by

choosing drop ship on the review order page of

our ordering software. There is a fee of $3.60 for

this service. Drop shipped orders DO NOT go out

with invoices or packaging referring to Black River

Imaging. Your invoice can be printed after logging

in to our website. We do not offer drop shipping

on international orders.

Rights to Reproduce

The person who is submitting any digital file to

Black River Imaging, guarantees ownership and/

or rights to have the images, logo or other visual

symbols reproduced.

Limitation of Liability

The safeguarding of all property and materials

while in our possession is always a top priority

of Black River Imaging. Black River Imaging does

not assume liability for materials such as prints,

artwork, color guides, CDs or other storage media,

or any other materials which are submitted to

Black River Imaging, whether due to fire damage,

theft, negligence, loss, or any other means. Black

River Imaging shall not be liable for any other

damages and, in no event, shall it be liable for any

consequential damages hereunder. Submission of

an order constitutes acceptance of these terms.

Expedited Shipping

For all expedited shipping options please refer to

our website for the latest prices. In the menu at

the bottom of any page on the site, look for either

Domestic or International Shipping. You’ll then see

a flat shipping rate charge. This is based off of the

cost of the total order and will display one, two,

and three day options.

Order Cancellations and Changes

In order to be as streamlined as possible, we have

installed many computer-automated systems to

handle orders as they arrive. If you need to make

a cancellation or a correction you will need to

contact customer service immediately. Orders

sent overnight and/or orders already on a printer

are not able to be cancelled.

Print Cropping

Even with the latest technology in photographic

printers and press printers, the machines still have

a certain tolerance in how paper moves through

them. We ask that you try to keep vital elements,

borders or text at least 1/4” from the edge to assure

that it does not fall into a trim zone.

Image Adjustments

We offer image adjustments at no additional cost.

If you select the option for Image Adjustment in

our ordering software, we will have it analyzed

by a trained professional on a properly calibrated

monitor. They will make very minor adjustments

to the brightness, contrast, and saturation as

needed to make for a consistent order. We do

correct color for cool images but not for warm

images. As a professional photographer, it is

extremely imperative that you control your

camera’s white balance to assure you get proper

color. Image Adjustment is not available on any

pre-designed multi-layered images, or orders

placed through Cascade. Image Adjustment does

not affect the cropping of your images.

Rush Service

If your order requires 24 hour service (end of next

business day), select either Rush + Pickup or Rush

+ 1 Day as the shipping method during checkout

(Delivery is next business day. Saturday Delivery

not automatically included.). Cost for Rush Service

is a 100% upcharge (double the order total). The

domestic shipping charge is a flat rate based on the

order total and it will be added to your order total.

International Shipping is also an additional charge

and will be calculated at the time of shipping and

added to your order total.

DetailsRush Service is available with ‘1 Business Day’ shipping

or for local Pick Up.

There is no RUSH service available for orders with

‘Free Shipping’, ‘2 Business Days’ or ‘3 Business Days’

shipping service.

This service guarantees that an order will be shipped

within 24 hours (end of next business day) from the

time the ORDER IS RECEIVED (not the time the order

was submitted).

Some products simply cannot qualify for Rush Service

due to production methods. If your product cannot

receive this service we will contact you and remove

the upcharge.

To receive this Rush Service you MUST select a Rush

Service option for the shipping method. Entering Rush

information in the Order Information will NOT place

your order in the Rush Service system.

If an order has already been sent and you need to

upgrade it to Rush, please contact Customer Service

and they will add a charge to your order equal to

double the order total (when possible).

We reserve the right to adjust the availability of this

service in times of heavy volume.
