Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,The little Lord Jesus laid
down His sweet head;The stars in the sky looked
down where He lay,The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.
“Away In A Manger ”
The cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes;
I love Thee, Lord Jesus,
look down from the skyAnd stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.
“Away In A Manger ”
Be near me, Lord Jesus, I ask Thee to stayClose by me forever, and love me, I pray;
Bless all the dear children in
Thy tender care,And fit us for heaven to
live with Thee there.

O little town of Bethlehem, how still we see thee lie!
Above thy deep and dreamless sleep The silent stars go by;
Yet in thy dark streets shineth The everlasting Light;
The hopes and fears of all the years Are met in thee tonight.
O Little Town of Bethlehem
For Christ is born of Mary, And gathered all above,
While mortals sleep, the angels keep Their watch of wond’ring love.
O morning stars, together Proclaim the holy birth,
And praises sing to God the King, And peace to men on earth!
O Little Town of Bethlehem
How silently, how silently The wondrous Gift is giv’n!
So God imparts to human hearts The blessings of His heav’n.
No ear may hear His coming, But in this world of sin,
Where meek souls will receive Him, still The dear Christ enters in.
O Little Town of Bethlehem
O holy Child of Bethlehem! Descend to us, we pray;
Cast out our sin, and enter in, Be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels The great glad tidings tell;
O come to us, abide with us, Our Lord Emmanuel!
O Little Town of Bethlehem

Mary’s Message
Rebecca Lindhout
As with gladness, men of oldDid the guiding star behold
As with joy they hailed its lightLeading onward, beaming brightSo, most glorious Lord, may we
Evermore be led to Thee.
117 “As With Gladness, Men of Old”
As with joyful steps they spedTo that lowly manger bed
There to bend the knee beforeHim Whom Heaven and earth adore;
So may we with willing feetEver seek The mercy seat.
117 “As With Gladness, Men of Old”
As they offered gifts most rareAt the manger rude and bare;
So may we with holy joy,Pure and free from sin’s alloy,
All our costliest treasures bring,Christ, to Thee, our heavenly King.
117 “As With Gladness, Men of Old”
Holy Jesus, every dayKeep us in the narrow way;
And, when earthly things are past,Bring our ransomed souls at last
Where they need no star to guide,Where no clouds Thy glory hide.
