Fanzine RI is the student magazinepublished every two months by the
Department of Humanities and InternationalRelations from the Tecnológico deMonterrey Campus Querétaro. This
publication is an open space, that aims toportray the perspective of young universitystudents about different issues concerning
Mexico and the world.
The Fanzine RI 14 will be published onSeptember 2016 and for that reason it opens
its invitation to participate with an opinionarticle, essay, coverage, short story, poem, chronicle, column, interview, review (either
regarding a book, film or TV series), cartoonor photograph, around the topic: Art and
Ideologies. It is important to note that thistopic is an editorial guideline, and that
certain sections of the magazine remainopen to projects unrelated to it .
FANZINE #14ARTE & IDEOLOGIES
Art is one of the oldest forms of expressionsknown to mankind; one which had transcended
historical periods and cultural boundaries, adapting to the personal circumstances of both
those creating it and receiving it . Moreover, ithas served as a tool to create and reproduce
meanings. From religious art to the 20th-centuryavant-garde movements, art has always played
an essential role - through its most diverseforms - in the consolidation of thought.
Due to this, Fanzine RI has decided to dedicateits next number to the different considerations
about the relationship between the variedartistic forms - painting, sculpture, dance,
theatre, contemporary art, or any other - and themultiple ideologies and currents of thought. Be
it through an opinion article for our sectionCartas Sobre la Mesa, an essay for EnsayandoNuevas Perspectivas, a book review for Mesitade Noche, a film or TV program review for En
Corto, or a drawing or photograph for Snapshot,we want to present all the perspectives on thistopic. We hope we can count on having yours!
