INTERNATIONAL YOUTH SUMMIT
We believe that our youth are the bridge to preserve our national heritage and values, and transfer them to future generations.
If you are an active youth and interested in connecting with 300 passionate young people from across the world and Uzbekistan, you are invited to join us at the first International Youth Summit in Tashkent, Uzbekistan March 25-27, 2016. The event under the theme: ‘Our Heritage Our Future’’ will feature highly experienced speakers across the youth-related fields that will provide an extra bridge to the discussion and will contribute to the outcomes of the event.
The aim of the Summit is to bring together the brightest students, youth activists, leaders in the society, entrepreneurs, professors, diplomats and businessmen to start a dialogue on building a stable, peaceful society today and tomorrow and to take concrete actions on the ways to solve the current problems.
International Youth Summit in Uzbekistan is designed to take place once a year in Tashkent, Uzbekistan with general theme relevant to youth initiatives. The annual Summit will become a platform for the young people as future leaders of the world to hone their leadership, cultural, intercultural communication, and critical thinking and self-development skills.
ABOUT INTERNATIONAL YOUTH SUMMIT
The main organizer of the Summit is “Young Leaders Development Project” NGO whose aim is to support enthusiastic and active young people to develop their personality and professionalism.
The initiatives and ideas to be presented at the summit will be discussed in English language, directed to improving leadership skills and covering the following key categories:
*What do we mean when we say family?
*How can we preserve national values and traditions?
*What is the role of the youth in preserving national values and traditions?
*What threatens to universal mankind values?

SELECTION PROCESS We value diversity and unique perspectives. The organizing team will select participants with varied professional and academic backgrounds. The candidates will be selected from a competitive pool based on their expertise and will ensure a geographical and gender balance. Announcement of all successful candidates will be announced on 10th January 2016.
PARTICIPATION FEES AND SCHOLARSHIPS
International participants: Participation fee € 50. For all scholarship based participants YLDP will take responsibility to cover participation fee, materials (handouts), acommodation, 3 meals (full board), special events, trips, and transportation. However, all international participants are responsible for own travel arrangements and associated VISA costs (if needed) to Uzbekistan.
Local participants: No participation fee. For all scholarship based participants YLDP will take responsibility to cover participation fee, materials (handouts), acommodation, 3 meals (full board), special events, trips, and transportation.. Non - scholarship based participants are responsible for own travel arrangements and accomadation.
There is also a range of scholarship support available. Partial and Full scholarships. Both international and local participants are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

A completed registration form is necessary to register for the Youth Summit 2016. A confirmation letter will be sent by e-mail upon acceptance of application. 11. SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION
Instructions: This section applies to all participants who wish to apply for a scholarship. Scholarships are awarded based on a combination of financial need and merit. Awards are made on a rolling basis in conjunction with admission to the program, with earlier applicants receiving priority consideration. Please note that YLDP is going to supply you with an invitation/acceptance letter you can forward to potential sponsors (local NGOs, public institutions, political parties, embassies and consular representations, international funds etc.) in support of your fund-raising efforts.
Please write a brief statement describing your needs for a scholarship and prove why you are the most suitable candidate for getting scholarship (not to exceed 200 words):
Phone/Skype Interview: Applicants might be required to conduct a phone or skype interview with a member of the YLDP staff when such need is recognized. They will be contacted with all the details of the interview at the primary email address provided in their application.
Deadline for both International and local participants is 31st
of December, 2015. Applicants in need of scholarship support are urged to apply before the priority deadline. While scholarship support is available after the early deadline, it is allocated on a rolling basis and earlier applications are given priority.
