June serves up a menu of all-star concerts and workshops at the California Jazz Conservatory, certain to satisfy the appetite of every jazz fan!

The month kicks off with a concert by two top players, Ethan Iverson & Mark Turner (1), followed by Grammy nominee Theo Bleckmann in a Contemporary Jazz Vocal Master Class (10). Jazz stars Raul Midón and Lionel Loueke present A Special Workshop at CJC (18), while the Chico Pinheiro Trio adds the flavors of Brazil to June’s jazz menu (21). Rounding out the star-studded month, a number of local jazz luminaries (including Kalil Wilson, Kenny Washington, Madeline Eastman, Sandy Cressman and Avotcja) will join our Resident Artists, Electric Squeezebox Orchestra, for their Album Release Party (30).

Special offerings this month at CJC include the Annual CJC Piano Scholarship Benefit featuring Dick Conte Quartet (15), Tango Virtuosos Pablo Estigarribia & Adrian Jost (14) and Nick Phillips / Ariane Cap Group (8).
