ASBESTOS REMOVAL

Safe Asbestos Removal forms a significant part of the Environmental Services we offer. Asbestos is still present in many buildings, and the removal and disposal of Asbestos Materials should, and in most instances, must be carried out by a contractor licensed by the Health and Safety Executive, within a controlled environment, in order to comply with current health and safety legislation. CAJ Services Ltd are a licensed asbestos removal contractor—license number 051205039. Our license permits us to remove all types of asbestos containing material.

The Directors of CAJ Services Ltd have over 35 years experience in site clearance and Brownfield site regeneration. We offer the complete package of work, from initial asbestos surveys through to excavation and removal of contaminated ground, ensuring the site is completely cleared of all hazardous materials, enabling work to commence on a completely clean site. CAJ Services Ltd have the most up to date machinery for crushing, screening, grading and re-sizing brick hardcore, concrete, stone and ballast recycling. Our processes conform with WRAP Quality Protocol, removing the finished material from the waste stream, enabling the material to be used as a recycled product. Rail ballast is often coated with oils and other non hazardous contaminants. Using our recycling processes, the un-wanted rail ballast is transformed into a useable product that can be used for many different engineering fills. This is an excellent way of avoiding potentially expensive disposal costs and protecting the environment in the process. Our recycled product range include the following:

METAL RECYCLING

CAJ Services Ltd recovers valuable ferrous and non ferrous metals from unwanted or redundant plant, stock or equipment. Most metal recovery is carried out at site level by our highly skilled site teams, although we have the capability to collect scrap using our own transport and roll-on / off skips. Ferrous and non ferrous metals are removed from other waste streams and sorted / separated into the appropriate product group on site ready to be taken to the merchants. Our services include:

BRIDGE DEMOLITION

Bridge demolition is a specialist activity and calls for different demolition processes and procedures to normal demolition. Emphasis is as much on the planning stage as the actual work stage. The reason for this is because most bridges interface with a transportation system with traffic flows over or under, either road or rail. We have a vast amount experience in this field and our ethics are to carry out intensive pre-works planning, meticulous strategic consideration including track / road protection systems and once on site move as quickly as possible so as to cause as little disruption to the traffic whether it be road or rail. Our Company is qualified to work on the railway infrastructures so we can work under track possessions or on green field sites. We also have the ability to carry out the works required to prepare overhead Catenary systems prior to the removal of a bridge and to reinstate after. Our Services include:

that can be hired for removal of waste or transport of plant, bricks, equipment,

cabins etc. Lorry mounted crane lifting facilities are also available for movement

of isolated equipment.
