In the Chancel are effigies made of brass of Sir Richard Hansard, Sheriff of Lincoln in 1419, and his wife Joan. ALL HALLOWS NORTH KELSEYSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th May Saturday 10am-4pm • Sunday 10am-4pm .Norman tower, rest of the church extensively rebuilt in 1859. Many interesting ancient features remain built into the south external wall. Chancel ornaments date from the Anglo-Catholic revival of the 1930s’. BROCKLESBY CHURCH MAUSOLEUM Saturday & Sunday7th - 8th May Alongside All Saints church, an added attraction will be conducted tours of James Wyatt’s masterpiece, the Brocklesby Mausoleum. Tours will be conducted at 2pm on both days from the church. There is no need to book but please arrive early as numbers are limited. BROOKENBY • ST MICHAEL & ALL ANGELS Saturday & Sunday7th - 8th May Brookenby village is the site of the former RAF Binbrook which closed in 1989. At the centre of the village is the community centre comprising two buildings, the larger of which is the former Sergeants Mess, now housing a licensed bar, a theatre and a multipurpose room and on the upper floor, a fitness and dance studio.The church is located in part of the smaller west wing – formerlysingle sergeants accommodation.Postcode: LN8 6ET , Open Saturday 10am-4pm

CLAXBY • ST MARY Saturday & Sunday7th - 8th May. On a site at the foot of the Wolds, used from pre-Roman times, there has been a church here since at least 1300. Much restored from1870 but with 14th and 15th century features. A grand Jacobean monument, good modern and Victorian stained glass. A ring of five bells, medieval and Victorian. A rich living until the mid 20th century, it attracted a number of eccentric priests. Come and hear about ourracy rectors! Exhibition about Claxby ironstone mine. Cakes and plants for sale. CABOURNE • ST NICHOLAS Saturday & Sunday7th - 8th MaySt Nicholas dates from before the Norman Conquest. Come to see the Saxon tower, blocked Norman doorway and other architectural features. Our roof is currently being completely retiled. An exhibition of plans, tile-making at Barton on Humb er and photographs associated with this project are on display. CLIXBY • ALL HALLOWSSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th MayThis little roadside church is the 13th-century chancel of a larger church which was a ruin until 1889, when the chancel was gently restored and a west porch added. Inside you cansee a 14th-century stone slab with an incised cross and chalice commemorating a priest, and Latin inscriptions in praise of the Virgin Mary adorn on the wooden ceiling. CUXWOLD • ST NICHOLAS Saturday & Sunday7th - 8th MayTiny church prettily set on rising ground. The lower part of the tower is 11th century and the church has a Norman font and its original Norman arch opening to the nave. The restored organ, built by Thomas Casson, recognised as the father of pedal organs. James and Joanna welcome people into their homes for breakfasts, 9am-11am, bookings advised. GRASBY • ALL SAINTSSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th MayOur lovely church overlooking Grasby has wonderful views of the Ancholme Valley, with a glimpse of Lincoln Cathedral (on a good day). The church building was restored by Charles Tennyson Turner (Alfred’s brother), also a poet and the vicar from 1835-1879. The church is included in the “Tennyson Trail.” There will be a display of local needlework and art in the Village Hall from 2pm-5pm both days and flowers in church on the theme of “poetry.”Postcode: DN38 6AU . NETTLETON • ST JOHN THE BAPTISTSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th MayAt the foot of Nettleton Hill lies our grade II* village church. The golden-hued tower with Saxon foundations was built of local ferruginous ironstone but recently restored with Northamptonshire stone. An exhibition of the history of ironstone mining in the area willfeature maps, photos and recordings of the memories of the miners. A large selection of books and plants will be on sale. ROTHWELL • ST MARY MAGDALENESaturday & Sunday7th - 8th MayThe church is mainly 11th century, but still retains some of the original Anglo-Saxon. In 1849 the church was extensively repaired and enlarged, making this one of the finest in the Wolds. SEARBY CUM OWMBY • ST NICHOLASSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th May .In a quiet rural location, the 1830s’ St Nicholas is brick built, light and peaceful, with stained glass windows, a beautiful late 1800s’ hand-carved oak rood screen and oak pews with each end having carved emblems depicting different apostles and tribes of Israel. There is also a balcony. The belfry will be open to view the five static bells rung by one person from a unique bell frame and the recently renovated clock made and installed in the 1860s by Bensons ofLondon. WALESBY • ALL SAINTSSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th May. This iconic medieval church stands in solitary dignity overlooking the village of Walesby on the Viking Way. Also known as the Ramblers Church, the view from the church is quite spectacular. A beautiful stain glass window depicting walkers and cyclists is inside. Recently substantial work was carried out on the tower to make it safe to ring the 8 bells. Access only by a footpath up a steep hill. WALESBY • ST MARYSaturday & Sunday7th - 8th May. An ‘arts and crafts’ Church designed by Irish architect, Temple Moore that came about by the efforts of the Rev. Perceval Laurence, Rector of Walesby 1879-1913. Shortly after the rector came to the parish, the inconveniently sited All Saints Church was virtually abandoned and for over 30 years the people of Walesby worshipped in a ‘temporary’ iron building in the village. Work began on 6th June 1913 and on that very day, the 84 yr old, Rev Laurence died. Originally the tower was crowned by a small ‘candle-snuffer’ spire, but this became unsafe and was removed before the SecondWorld War. Postcode: LN8 3UW. Saturday Dawn to Dusk • Sunday Dawn to Dusk

Within the past 24 hours (28/4/2016) a number of businesses throughout the UK have received extortion demands from a group calling themselves ‘Lizard Squad’. Method of Attack:The group have sent emails demanding payment of 5 Bitcoins, to be paid by a certain time and date. The email states that this demand will increase by 5 Bitcoins for each day that it goes unpaid. If their demand is not met, they have threatened to launch a Denial of Service attack against the businesses’ websites and networks, taking them offline until payment is made. The demand states that once their actions have started, they cannot be undone. What to do if you’ve received one of these demands:

• Report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 or by using the online reporting tool• Do not pay the demand• Retain the original emails (with headers)• Maintain a timeline of the attack, recording all times, type and content of the contact

If you are experiencing a DDoS right now you should:

• Report it to Action Fraud by calling 0300 123 2040 immediately.• Call your Internet Service Provider (ISP) (or hosting provider if you do not host your own Web server), tell them you are under attack and ask for help.• Keep a timeline of events and save server logs, web logs, email logs, any packet capture, network graphs, reports etc.
