My year as your President is rapidly coming to an end and it has been an interesting year. It is hoped that every member of our Classic Airstream Intraclub will attend the annual business meeting scheduled after the luncheon at Alongi’s Restaurant in Du Quoin, Illinois on Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Please plan to attend the lunch and business meeting. (Coupon may be found in this newsletter). We are also planning an ice cream social during the International Rally in Du Quoin, Illinois. See the bulletin board at the Rally for time and location. We have two caravans coming up which may be of interest. First is the “Southern Illinois By-Ways to St. Louis” Caravan, departing July 5, 2011 after the International Rally and visiting many of the “Lincoln Land” historic sights. The caravan will end on July 13, 2011 in St. Louis, MO. Gordon and Carol White are the caravan leaders. Additional information and a registration coupon are included in this newsletter. Our second caravan, “Plantations of Southern Louisiana” under the leadership of John Landry is scheduled April 18, 2012 to May 3, 2012. More about this great caravan in this newsletter. We need to grow in order to show our support for the Classic Airstream Configuration from which our club is generally recognized. There are many Airstream Owners out there who may join our intraclub if they were only asked. Membership applications are available from any of the CAC officers and on line at http://classicairstream.wbcci.net/about-cac/membership-application/ . Members are reminded to pay their dues which are only $10.00 for the year. Our treasurer, Kay Corder, will be at the International Rally during registration to collect your dues. My sincere thanks to the Officers and members for their help during this past year. I shall continue to support our intraclub and look forward to seeing you all at the International Rally in Du Quoin.
