EFI BURKINA FASO SKILLSOne of the largest producers of cotton on the continent, Burkina Faso is famed throughout the world of the high quality of this raw material, and the rich tradition of weaving dyed yarn into textiles: faso danfani.

Working with over fifteen women-owned weaving cooperatives spread across the country, CABES uses exclusively locally grown and transformed cotton, conventional or organic (GOTS certification) and certified Fair Trade. Cotton fibers are handspun or industrially spun in a factory in Burkina Faso, while the weaving is always artisanal. We work both with natural dyes and conventional dyes that are GOTS-certified reactive colorants.

CABES also produces a ranged of lifestyle goods, including home-ware such as tablemats, napkins, cushions, poufs and fashion including bags and accessories. When possible, we integrate our beautiful artisanal textiles into these products which are entirely made locally in our member ateliers.

We also work with selected artisan groups from other disciplines such as ceramics and Touareg jewelers, offering the best high-end lifestyle goods available in Burkina Faso.
