Current Status: Last year, we completed three schoolwide community outreach projects (Soctober, Toys for Tots, Kenya Fundraiser) Objective: To engage the students, staff and families in a community outreach project monthly. Strategy: Community Outreach Planning Team will investigate and secure monthly opportunities for the school to support the community (local and global) Aligned District Priority: By June 2016, students having 2 or more referrals for behavior incidents will be reduced annually as measured by the PowerSchool Discipline Report
Establish a planning team from all grade levels and departments within the school to plan and facilitate monthly community outreach activities. Instruct the students on the importance of community support and being a global citizen that cares for the needs of others, accomplished through class meetings and guidance lessons. Share outreach opportunities and the rationale behind it with families at PTO meetings and on CMTV.
