which:
Synchronises AD contacts with ITAM/APM
Performs an insert or update based upon the USERID field
Provides an option to build the mapping

ITAM Data Importer Enhancements
> Import automation with the ability to monitor and
process files in a user-specified folder
> Support for all hierarchies
> Improved performance with a new caching strategy
All list/foreign key data is cached to prevent unnecessary
database reads
As records are added or updated for lists and foreign keys,
the process first tries to find data in cache before going to
the database

Multi-Tenancy
> Enables a single implementation to support multiple
organisations
> Not just for Managed Service Providers (MSPs)
> Reduces cost and complexity of managing multiple
accounts
> APM r12.5 provides full multi-tenancy
APM 11.3.x provided limited multi-tenancy capabilities
(i.e. not all objects were ―tenantized‖)
APM r12.5 provides multi-tenancy on all objects except for
a few which are common (ex. countries)

Enhanced Auditing
> Auditing is now performed down at the database level
instead of through the business tier of the application
> This provides the following…
Reduces overhead in business tier that ultimately helps
with response time
Puts auditing function where it performs optimally
Insures that any application or system that does any
direct manipulation of the data will be subjected to full
auditing
Allows all fields to be audited instead of forcing the
selection of a subset of fields

R12.5 Features Removed
Feature Removed Justification/New Methods
Advantage Data Transformer (ADT) The ITAM Data Importer which provides a simplified method to import data addresses a large majority of capabilities offered by ADT and used by APM customers.
APM Barcoding The ITAM Data Importer which provides a simplified method to import data replaces the functionality provided in APM Barcode.
Keywords Keywords have been removed due to very limited use. For those needing a multi-value assignment, you can use multiple extended fields with a common list.
Legacy API A new and improved (i.e. faster and efficient) API replaces the legacy API requiring any API programs to be reconfigured to support the new API. Many benefits result in using the new API including faster performance, eliminates the need to recompile, and uses industry standard web service interface allowing customers to write programs in any language (i.e. not limited to Microsoft .NET languages). An API Transition Manual will be included in the r12.5 release to minimise the conversion effort.
Integration Services Originally used in Argis to create tickets in Service Desk, this method has become obsolete by utilising Service Desk web services.
