Methodology

The Oracle Coherence Jumpstart is a 20 day proof of concept and training engagement delivered on site at your premises by C2B2’s highly experienced middleware consultants. During the 20 days our consultant will:

ı Define a proof of concept to demonstrate that Coherence meets your requirements;

ı Build Proof of Concept code as examples of best practice;

ı Demonstrate integration to a database and user interface if required;

ı Configure a Coherence data grid to best practice;

ı Deploy the Proof of Concept to the Coherence data grid;

ı Demonstrate the scalability, high availability and performance of the data grid to your requirements;

ı Mentor your team during the Proof of Concept;

ı Provide full future architecture and configuration documentation;

ı Deliver 2 day introductory Coherence training for up to 5 delegates.

Requirements

For the jumpstart to progress smoothly we will need some help from you.

ı Enough available hardware to build and demonstrate the data grid (we can use Amazon EC2 public cloud if this is a problem).

ı Production or trial licenses of Oracle Coherence.

ı Access to the servers to install and configure Coherence.

ı Time with your architects and developers to define the proof of concept scope.

ı Access to a database to demonstrate database integration.

ı Space for our consultant to work on their laptop.

ı Meeting Space to review your architectural requirements.

ı Time with your key development staff to mentor them on Coherence.

ı Training space to run 2 days of training to include projector and each delegate will require a laptop.
