Every step of the Curtin University Sydney Curtin Internship Program Program is conducted by qualified professionals and industry experts. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded a certificate of completion and will have gained valuable experience within the Australian workplace. The program begins with a three week series of workshops. Your Internship Placement Coordinator (IPC) will help you find a 12-16 week internship within a company relevant to your area of study. What is an ‘internship’? An internship is a temporary position within a commercial organisation where the emphasis is on-the-job training rather than merely employment. Student internships provide opportunities for students to gain experience in their field of study, usually to determine if they have an interest in a particular career. Fee Curtin University Sydney covers all the program fees for this course and is therefore offered to all Curtin University Students free of charge. Duration Internships run for approximately 12 - 16 weeks. Weekly hours During semester = 20 hours per week During summer break = 37.5 hours per week Duration and weekly hours are flexible and will be negotiated by the host company and the intern.
