Dear Resident CITYLINK TULLA WIDENING: NIGHT WORKS FOR NEW BELL STREET TO PASCOE VALE ROAD BRIDGE – AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER 2016 We would like to update you about overnight works that will take place over the next fortnight at the Pascoe Vale Road end of the new bridge that will safely connect Bell Street to Pascoe Vale Road starting Tuesday evening 30 August, 2016, 9.00pm to 5.00am. These night works have been scheduled to ensure these significant works are delivered as quickly as possible while minimising traffic impacts on drivers. Importantly, night works will enable our workers to deliver these works as safely and efficiently as possible. While these works are not expected to have an impact on your property, we want to take the opportunity to keep you up to date with the significant construction activities that are taking place as the new bridge begins to take form. We understand that a significant amount of construction activity has taken place in the area in recent months so we would like to thank you for your continued patience as we complete these works. What the works involve We will be temporarily closing the Pascoe Vale Road outbound exit ramp from 9.00pm to 5.00am to create a safe work zone for our crews to install steel box girders for the new Bell Street to Pascoe Vale Road bridge using a crane. Between late–August and early–October 2016, a total of 21 steel box girders will be installed for the new bridge. Steel box girders are the beams that support the roadway deck. Where we will be We will be working within the construction zone north of Strathmore Secondary College (see map).
