DESCRIPTION
We found that the material that the duck was made of is poplar. We know this because the density of poplar is 0.5g/ml and it is the only material that could float. The other materials were above 1g/ml and that makes the object sink. Poplars density was under 1 g/ml, so that made the object float. Water is a intrinsic properties. It has the same density no matter if you have a drop of water or if you have a sea full of water. These objects are a intrinsic properties. That means that the material has the same density no matter how much space it takes up and if its different colors. It will still have the same density.

Answer
. 1. We picked up an object from out of the plastic bin. 2. We got out the listed materials: A scale, a calculator, and a ruler. 3. We turned on the scale and set it to 0 grams. 4. We placed it on the scale and rescored the mass. (Mass was 8g) 5. We took out the ruler and measured the length, width, and height of the cube. We took out the
calculator and recorded these numbers. (2.5 was the width, length, and height) 6. We multiplied the length, width, and height of the cube. (15.625 was the mass) 7. We divided mass by volume. 8. We recorded the answer on our chart. 9. We went to the bucket and took another cube. 10. We continued this with all the cubes. THE END
