As I began my preliminary wondering about what is done to address issues concerning sex offenders. I learned that the rate of registered sex offenders is drastically increasing in Mecklenburg County. I also learned that the county lacks resources to address this issue. This is concerning as this population requires constant monitoring and supervision to keep the community safe. I am wondering what else can be done to address these issues. I hope to identify and come up with ways to effectively address the issues regarding sex offenders.
